  • EP. 6 // We Need Solutions

    #culture #podcast #influencer

It's SO easy to point out problems.

Almost anywhere you go today, you can find a "problem".

Where are the modern day problem solvers?

Where are the company of people who are endeavoring into creating solutions?

And NO, we're not talking about those who are actually creating more problems through protesting (non-peaceful) and inciting riots and looting. Those are NOT solutions!

Where are the next company of pioneers?! The next great minds of the times who promote a type of change that affects the common good for all, instead of the advocating of personal agendas?

Where are the next Apostle Peter's and Paul's? Where are the next culture shifters that feel they have a call from God to speak life and hope to a culture out of context?!

We say, stand and rise and let your voices be heard!

    We need some solutions!

Praying God's goodness and grace for you fam!

  • EP. 5 // Are We Tearing Apart At The Seams?

    #podcast #culture #influencer

    What are you known by?

What makes people remember you? What stands out?

    Let me ask this way...

Are you known more by the good things you've done in life, good choices you've made...you're accomplishments and such...

OR...do people remember you by mistakes you've made...or outrageous events that have occurred or choices you've made in your life that have left a mark?

Maybe a little of both possibly?

Here's where we're going with this....

There's treasure found in being teachable and being disciplined.

You need both in life to become great. Being teachable and having discipline.

Being teachable means that at times you will make bad choices and mistakes...but, those don't have to define you negatively if you discipline yourself to head to what "correction" wants to teach you.

Hears another good word..."humility". Choosing to stay low-key and NOT allow pride and "self" a place in your life.

The more in tune you are to being teachable and having discipline the more doors you may find open for you in life.

These are principles that will truly "make you" if you are willing to choose humility over pride and wisdom over foolishness.

Another great word is "grace". The supernatural endowment God's gives you to do something with His power.

How do you become "graced" by God for something?

Relationship with Jesus will open the door for you to not only experience God's grace at work in your life, but all His many promises, which the Bible says are "yes and amen"!

If you feel like your life or circumstances in life are tearing apart at the seams...we recommend coming to Jesus. He's got the ointment for your ailment!

  • EP. 4 // Yeah, But Is It Good For Everyone?

    #culture #influencer #podcast

How much does it mean to you, to get your own way? Is that something that's important to you?
It's human nature perhaps for most people to like things done a certain way.
If getting your own way however, was to mean that someone else gets hurt in the process (whether physically, mentally or emotionally), would you still advocate your stance to get your way?
Here's where we're going with this...
We believe that there are breakages in the barriers of what's acceptable for the "common good" of everyone in the world today when it comes to seeking change.
Too many people wanting what they want...even if it means that we crush others in the process.
That's not good for everyone. That's not good for anyone actually.
There seems to be a sense of entitlement in the atmosphere today of, "see me", "hear me"...and much that people are advocating for, feels forced on the general public. So much so that we see in the media today, that people are resorting to violence against their fellow man and disrupting the way of life for the general population, to have their voices heard...and much of corporate America is buying into this harmful turn of the tide of culture.
Have we lost our sense of what it truly means, especially here in America - the land of the free and home of the brave, to protest peacefully or advocate for what we believe in, without feeling that we need to force our agenda on others, damage property, cause physical harm, build encampments, or prevent the general population from living their lives in peace?
All we ask is that you hear us out for the next 45 minutes in this podcast episode.
We also challenge you to consider not necessarily what you are advocating (we can save that for another time), but how you are carrying out the ploy of your agenda.
All that we ask is that we bring some context back to culture!
All we have is love for you fam! God bless!

  • EP. 3 // Live Skillfully

    #podcast #culture #influencer

We don't always make the best choices in life. People are prone to error.

The question however is, what are we learning from bad choices made in our own lives?

Do bad choices made in life have you feeling like you're in a dark place? If so...we get you... We've been there.

So, how do we get out from the hold that some bad choices have us in?

We believe exercising discernment is a good place to start.

    What does that mean? Discernment...

It basically means, the ability to make a good judgment call.

You need to learn how to put and keep yourself in check. This is an EXTREMELY valuable asset to your "doing life well" tool belt.

The only way you're going to know what choices are really "bad" that you may be making in life is to begin developing a deep awareness of "self".

We would encourage you to begin asking yourself..."Are the choices that I am making in life good for me and good for the people, places and things around me? "Are the choices that I am making promoting something that is good and valuable and worthy of being reproduced or duplicated?"

Good will multiply more good and bad will multiply more bad. The math is simple.

There are A LOT of bad choices being made by A LOT of people in this present day, 2024...choices that are affecting the grand mass of the population on Earth, negatively.

So, how do we turn the tide and bring some restoration on board?

We as people have to CHOOSE to live skillfully. We have to live our lives with a deep sense of self-awareness, constantly asking ourselves..."Are the choices I am making good for me, good for my family, good for the people, places and things around me?" "Do my choices promote something of excellence and high worth?"

Start here...and you'll do well over the long haul.

Please know that we love you and we are praying for you fam! God's grace and peace and richest blessings be given to you and your families in Jesus Mighty Name!

  • EP. 2 // Who Do You Think You Are?

    #culture #wisdom #bible

Why would you choose to listen to us? After all, we're just 2 over 40 white folks from Upstate New York. What do we possibly have to say that could bring any sort of valuable context to the culture of today?
For starters, we definitely don't claim to know it all.
What we do have going for us however, is a lot of experience at living and our many years of walking with Jesus.
    So...
If you're looking for something that's going to help you understand the context that culture needs today, a little better...we're glad you're here.
That's truly our only aim...to bring context to a culture that desperately needs it. A redirection that opens you up to see that God has good plans for each and every person on the planet...but, we've got to dig for context to discover and uncover where we've gotten out of context as a culture and what it is that God wants to say, to get us back on track.

  • EP. 1 // Trust Me, We've Been Through It - Pilot

    #podcast #culture #influencer

Welcome to our pilot episode of The On God Podcast!

Our desire is simple. We want to bring context to the culture of today. We believe that today's culture is missing context...and without it...we as people have a tendency to not make the best choices.

Week by week we are hoping to shine a little light on relevant topics of the present day, pulling from our life experiences and values of our Christian faith.

Look, we get it...why would you want to listen to us? There's a massive saturation of available influencers out there today, that you could choose from to connect with. What makes us different or even worth your time?

Well, for starters... We are just going to boldly ask you to trust us. We do not claim to know everything, nor do we have all the answers to life's most difficult questions. But, you know what we do have.......?

    We have experience.

We have TONS of practical experience as a father, mother, grandparents, being a son, being a daughter, what it's like to be a husband and what it's like to be a wife. We know what it's like to be broke and brokenhearted. We know what it's like to win and what it's like to get your butt handed to you.

We also know what it's like to grow up, be an adult, rise above, overcome...and find hope.......REAL hope, through relationship with Jesus.

Trust me, we've been through it!

We believe God has a word of wisdom within these 25 minutes we will spend together in this pilot episode, to lift you up and draw you near to Him.

So, how about lending us your ear and lending Jesus your heart for just a moment?

There's something here for you...we believe it, and that's on God!
