The Bible says that we are to be always ready to give a reason for the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. In today’s message, Pastor David acknowledges that it is much easier to relay the salvation message to a friendly face. However, we are called to spread the good news of the Gospel to everyone- even those who are openly hostile to the things of God. Sometimes this means that we will bear persecution. However, we have to continue to speak the truth knowing that God is with us and empowering us to do so.

The Lord has given every single one of us gifts and talents that help us accomplish the good works that He prepared for us in advanced for us to do. In today’s message, Pastor David points out that in order to use these gifts at full capacity it does require us to step out of our comfort zones to be stretched. In other words, some of the spiritual gifts do require training, so when we first begin to use them it may make us feel uncomfortable. However, as we surrender to Christ and begin to really walk in our gifts, the Lord is glorified.

If you knew Jesus was coming back tomorrow, how would you spend your last day on earth? Would you live very differently to prepare, or would you continue on with life as normal because you were already ready to meet the King of Kings? In today’s message, Pastor David encourages us to remember the that the Lord’s Second Coming is imminent. We want to be Christians who are wise with their time so that when we do finally meet Jesus face to face, we will hear the words, “Well done good and faithful servant.”
