Throughout the history of man, people have tried to earn salvation and forgiveness of sin. In fact, there have been some religious institutions that have duped people into trying to buy salvation for themselves or their loved ones. In today’s message, Pastor David teaches us that the only thing that can buy our salvation is the precious blood of the Lamb of God. When Jesus died on the cross, He cried out, “Tetelestai”, or paid in full, because His invaluable sacrifice was the only acceptable way we could be reunited with the Father.

Simple belief in Jesus is not enough to change a heart, for the Bible says that even the demons believe and shutter. In today’s message, Pastor David teaches us that in order to receive salvation, we must first repent of our sin. Repentance means that we experience true Godly sorrow over the mistakes that we have made. Repentance also means that we turn away from our sins and turn to the Lord Jesus to deliver us from all unrighteousness. When belief comes with a contrite heart, we experience the new birth.
