The True Story Behind the Murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, from O.J. Simpson's Closest Confidante

It’s the greatest crime story ever to play out on national television—the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson, the 35-year-old wife of famed pro football star O.J. Simpson, and Ron Goldman, a 25-year-old restaurant worker and friend of Nicole, who were brutally murdered by an unknown assailant outside Nicole’s home in Brentwood, California, on the evening of Sunday, June 12, 1994. Charged with the murders, O.J. Simpson underwent in October 1995 a nationally televised murder trial that lasted nearly nine months, ending in a dramatic acquittal that was watched live by over one-hundred-million people – one of the largest audiences to ever witness anything in the history of television.  It was called the “trial of the century.”

But people still want to know what really happened that summer night when Nicole Brown Simpson’s and Ron Goldman’s lives were literally cut short, and now, Norman Pardo—O.J.'s closest confidante and business manager for twenty years—offers readers the true story behind these murders. With revelatory never-before-seen evidence and previously undisclosed interviews with people who knew Simpson and Goldman, Pardo makes the case that the real killer was not O.J., whose only aim was to protect his children from Simpson's lifestyle. Rather, Pardo argues, the true murderer was notorious serial killer Glen Rogers, whose testimony in this book just may hold the key to unlocking the case once and for all.

Equal parts eye-opening, shocking, and entertaining, Who Really Killed Nicole? is essential reading for everyone interested in the O.J. Simpson trial and the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, anyone interested in the case of Glen Rogers, and all those who still want to know the truth of what happened that fateful June evening in 1994.

A series of historical events seem to have been crafted after plot elements in Philip Sidney's book "Arcadia" that was first published in 1580. This examination may apply to the stories of Star Castle on the Isles of Scilly, the execution of Charles II, The English Civil War, Oak Island, and the Newport Tower to name a few.
This book is a continuation of my last book "Oak Island and the Arcadian Mysteries." Given that each book stands on its own and may be read separately. Discussed here is a chronology of a value of the Arcadian theme and how many of the same family names and themes are repeated at Oak Island Nova Scotia, Shugborough Hall in England, and Rennes le Chateau in France.

Guest: Phil Stanford, author of "White House Call Girl: The Real Watergate Story"

Phil Stanford is a true crime writer with a special interest in political corruption. His latest book, White House Call Girl, will be published this summer (2013) by Feral House Press.

White House Call Girl is the real story behind the infamous 1972 Watergate break-in that led to the downfall of the President Richard Nixon, and features an ex-stripper and call girl madam by the name of Heidi Rikan. Many of the book’s most important revelations are, in fact, based on Stanford’s recent discovery of Heidi’s little black book.

Stanford’s other books include Portland Confidential, which won the Independent Publisher’s “Best True Crime” award for 2005. The Peyton-Allan Files (2010) solves a 1960 lover’s lane murder for which two men were wrongfully convicted. City of Roses, a graphic novel with artist Patric Reynolds, is currently being serialized by Dark Horse Comics.

His work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post Magazine, the Washingtonian, Rolling Stone, and Columbia Journalism Review. He has worked as a magazine editor and a licensed private investigator, and was a columnist for the Oregonian and the Portland Tribune.

As a journalist, Stanford is best known for his continuing work on the 1989 murder/cover-up of Oregon Corrections director Michael Francke. His 1994 Oregonian series on the “Happy Face Killer” case resulted in two innocent people being released from prison.

TH Metzger: Undercover Mormon: A Spy in the House of Gods

When a not-exactly-normal guy cooks up a fake name, buys some white shirts, shaves clean, and enters the Mormon church, what does he find?

When most people hear the word “Mormon,” they think of Utah. But the real sacred sites aren’t in the desert. It all started in the boondocks of western New York State, which was, once upon a very strange time, the hottest hotbed of wild religion in the world.

Th. Metzger has lived his whole life in Rochester, just down the road from the cradle of Mormonism. He’d seen the crazy hyper-happy pageants and heard all about the polygamy, getting your own personal planet when you die, and of course the magic underwear. Going undercover as a man on a spiritual quest, he discovers that the answers he’s been seeking for decades aren’t at all what he expects. Undercover Mormon chronicles his hilarious, revealing and bizarre search for the truth.
