We're back from an interesting weekend in which we went to the Detroit Fanfare Expo.  Steve describes how he killed a centipede the size of a french fry and we talk about how John Lovitz would do a job for a Subway sandwich.  We go over horror movies because its Halloween and how we really haven't seen any good ones.  Also, what is wrong with the Friday the 13th franchise and why do people like it.  Steve points out how the Simpsons originally shook in place during their initial run on the Tracey Ullman.  Andy points out that South Park wasn't great its first season either.  We talk about how Futurama is always great and how Family Guy is…sometimes…but not usually.  Then we steal political talk from The Jerry Sessions by bringing up Rick Santorum and his unfortunate name.  Then we talk about the use of tablets and phones in television shows, mainly why Walter White had such an old cell phone.  The show ends with Andy explaining Dr. Who to Steve.

The Optimism Club is back and make sure you like us on Facebook!  Speaking of it, we talk about how much longer social media will be around or how they can adapt it to borderline psychopaths like Steve, who is on a slippery slope.  Andy has finally seen This is the End and we talk about how it isn't that bad but they should't have just played themselves. (seriously)  We go through Rolling Stone's list of "Top 50 Funniest People" and rage against it.  I think everyone can agree that in 2013 Jerry Seinfeld doesn't deserve to be on there.  Andy says that Zach Galifianakis forces him to act like a hipster because he liked him before he was big.  Since we think it is douchey to make a list of the best comedians, we do it ourselves.  Andy and Steve end the show by each making a top 5 list of our favorite stand-up comedians.

The Optimism Club Vol. 43 (Why you gotta be such a…)

Its the show where we talk about the final episode of Breaking Bad and how everyone forgot about Walt fingering Skylar in the PTA meeting in season 1.  We pointed out that the last time Walter speaks to his son is extremely sad as well as the cool parts.  There are spoilers by the way.  (Huell is most likely a skeleton on a couch by now) Really the end of Breaking Bad is going to leave a void in our lives that Marvel's Agents of Shield simply cannot fill.  In the meantime Steve will continue shooting people with a stun gun and burning them with gasoline in GTA.  GTA V is really realistic, maybe too real.  But wait! There's some insulting of Eastern Europeans to come!  We finally end the episode with our top 3 comic book artists.
