He began as the token Klingon in "Encounter at Farpoint" and evolved into one of the longest-running characters on television. As a critical part of the crew on two Star Trek series, Worf was transformed from a two-dimensional representation of Federation-Klingon progress into a three-dimensional representation of the Human-Klingon balancing act.
