How many children have cancer or were born with medical problems? How many of our children are dying due to disease? Could it be from something in the environment? Alice Shabecoff is an advocate who has been working diligently to raise awareness about the dangers of the chemical use in our environment as well as inside our own homes. She educates the public about how these toxic chemicals have impacted our health and what we can do about it. Alice is the author of Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children, which she co-authored with her husband, Philip. The Shabecoffs reveal that the children of baby boomers—the first to be raised in a truly "toxified" world—have higher rates of birth defects, asthma, cancer, autism and a frightening range of other neurological illnesses from ADHD to mental retardation and other serious chronic illnesses, than previous generations. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer, talks to Alice Shabecoff to discuss her book, Poisoned for Profit: The Toxic Assault on our Children. If you would like to learn what you can do to protect yourself and your children from these toxic assaults, stay tuned!

The average consumer takes for granted that not all wines are created equally. Conscious consumers know that there are 200 ingredients on the list of government-approved additives for wine. Unlike food, wine manufacturers are not required to list their ingredients (which can include animal proteins, oak chips, sulfurs, yeasts, enzymes, preservatives, and “Mega Purple” which is a brand of highly concentrated wine color) on the side label. This renders most consumers to be clueless about what exactly is in their wine and what is used to produce it. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to award winning expert, Alice Feiring about her best-selling book, Naked Wine, the process of natural wine making. Alice Feiring is an award-winning food and wine journalist and author of the Battle for Wine and Love. Formerly the wine/travel columnist for Time, she now writes for the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Conde Nast Traveler and the Los Angeles Times Magazine, among many others. Trauma is a form of physical, sexual or psychological abuse, which has caused extreme stress and overwhelmed a person's ability to cope. What one individual deems as a trauma may not be the same as another person's. It is an individual's subjective experience that determines whether an event is or is not traumatic. After experiencing a traumatic event, either as a child or an adult, some people are able to heal, move forward and live a fulfilling life. In this segment of The NLP View Radio Show, host, Donna Blinston, RGN, talks to Pamela Gawler-Wright a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapist, Master and Certified Trainer in NLP, about how NLP can address and resolve problems caused through trauma, resulting in anxiety, depression and addiction.
