The Organic View

Neuroscience has discovered that we have complex, adaptive and functional brains in both our heart and gut, called the cardiac and enteric brains respectively. Science is finally catching up with deep insights from esoteric and spiritual traditions informing us for thousands of years about these three powerful intelligences of head, heart and gut. Using methodologies from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Cognitive Linguistics and Behavioural Modelling, and the latest Neuroscientific discoveries, the newly emerging field of mBIT (multiple Brain Integration Techniques) has codified a powerful system for communicating with and integrating the wisdom and intelligence of your multiple brains. Tune in to this segment of The NLP View Radio Show, as host, Donna Blinston RN is joined by authors Grant Soosalu and Marvin Oka to discuss their best selling book, "mBraining Using Your Multiple Brains To Do Cool Stuff"! In Sacrifice Zones, author, Steve Lerner tells the stories of twelve communities, from Brooklyn to Pensacola, that rose up to fight the industries and military bases causing disproportionately high levels of chemical pollution. He calls these low-income neighborhoods "sacrifice zones." And he argues that residents of these sacrifice zones, tainted with chemical pollutants, need additional regulatory protections. Sacrifice Zones goes beyond the disheartening statistics and gives us the voices of the residents themselves, offering compelling portraits of accidental activists who have become grassroots leaders in the struggle for environmental justice and details the successful tactics they have used on the fence line with heavy industry.
