The Outdoors Show

Fishing Forecast – 3/28/2019

The Outdoors Show turkeys were LIVE from Academy Sports and Outdoors with gobblers on their minds. You cannot blame Kevin, though, because his wife got her very first one this week! He shares the story, and the guys share a whole lot more this episode.

Fishing Forecast – 3/21/2019

Jeff made his return from an exotic bit of OSR down in the Turks and Caicos Islands. As you can imagine, it was quite an adventure, and Jeff had several great stories to share. Be sure to listen to the story about Rudy - and take notes so that you can have a better experience than Jeff did!

Jeff was back from his vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and he had plenty of OSR (Outdoors Show Research) to share, from food to fishing to fun with the smallest rental car ever! We also got to celebrate Kevin’s anniversary, Kirk’s birthday, and Fishing Forecast host Scott Shank’s anniversary, too!

Fishing Forecast – 3/14/2019

The 2019 El Cheapo got underway as the episode fired up, and Capt. Kevin was left without Capt. Kirk, who was in the tournament, and Jeff, who was still doing some OSR. So Capt. Scott Shank and our buddy Bill P. joined the show, along with Trina, the tournament guru. This one had lots of great stories, some turkey tips, and lots of laughs, too.

With Jeff out on vacation, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk called in Capt. Scott Shank to fill in, and you can only imagine the stories! If that wasn't enough, Noel Kuhn, surf fishing guru, joined the guys for two hours to chime in with stories and answer listener questions. And then there were the nudists...

The weather is beginning to warm, so the guys were talking sheepshead fishing and the rumblings of a fast-approaching turkey season. They also got down to some music, talking about the Jamey Johnson show they saw and the terrible things Frank Frangie said about Joe Diffie. They also shared their choices for best and worst months of the year for outdoor activities...and learned what it meant to become a Thermocell Insider!

Since Jacksonville University is home to Ocearch, it was only fitting that Dr. Quinton White stopped in and Ocearch Explorer in Residence Chris Fischer joined Kevin and Jeff to talk all about the work Ocearch is doing with great whites and other species. The guys also talked about their new-found love for the Bassmaster Elite Series, and Kirk checked in from vacation.
