The Outer Reels episodes

  • Street Fighter 2-Taiwan(?!?): Calamity of Snakes
First off, Sam doesn't understand geography, as we're doing a movie from Taiwan in place of one from Thailand. Having said that, this movie is WILD. Just do your best to get through the "story" parts. Also don't tell PETA about this.

  • Street Fighter 2-USA: Steel Frontier
Sam didn't like this one, but Jason thinks it's better than it should have been. There's also a lot of talk about things that aren't this movie, more so than usual, at least. This is a long one, so get comfortable...

  • Street Fighter 2-USA: Mindwarp
This is the first of Sam's "Street Fighter 2" season, where we follow the game's map with a movie from each country. Really, it's just an excuse for Sam to be able to pick an American movie for a change, so sit back and try to enjoy Mindwarp!

  • It's a Best Of?
This week we take a look back at our first 48 episodes and do a review of each season. Hopefully you won't be bored.

  • Brian Trenchard-Smith
We interview ozploitation legend, Brian Trenchard-Smith (see half of our Australian episodes in season 2!). Brian is (obviously) an amazing storyteller, touching on his novel "Alice Through the Multiverse", getting his start in editing movie trailers, and the move into feature films. Be sure to check out his memoir, "Adventures in the B Movie Trade."

  • Forgotten German Sci-Fi: Decoder

Weird Movie = Weird Episode - Great sounds and music though, and apparently, we find out that Jason does not like True Lies? while learning about his career at the Grocery store, working on Hallmark Christmas movies and somehow Freddy Got Fingered, all in the mix.

  • Forgotten German Sci-Fi: World on a Wire (part 1)

We're going to take two episodes to cover this German miniseries from 1973. Jason LOVES this while Sam isn't so convinced.

Please excuse Jason's wonky sound this episode (just THIS episode?!?) as he apparently doesn't know how to talk into a microphone.

  • Forgotten German Sci-Fi: Moon 44

As Sam notes, "I didn't have navigator rape on my bingo card", but we still enjoyed this other early Roland Emmerich movie from 1990.
