Prophets, Shepherds, Poets and Kings is a series delving into the history of the people of God found in 1 and 2 Samuel.
We continue our deep dive into the history of the people of God in 1 and 2 Samuel. We began with a longed for baby, continued with a cry for a king which was fulfilled in the anointing of Saul. He began well but things went downhill with a series of catastrophic failures that led to God rejecting him as king. We then met a young shepherd boy called David, a keen harpist, giant slayer, good friend and, as we discovered last time, cave dweller. In this episode we learn about what happened next in this series which we’re calling this Prophets, Shepherds, Poets and Kings. The story continues in 1 Samuel 25-27. with discussion of leadership, influence, misogyny and more ambushes.
There are segments to enjoy including the reading of the passage, 'The Cloud' and 'What Now?'.
