INTERVIEW: Husband and Husband directorial team David Ebersole and Todd Huges talk about their documentary film House of Cardin — screening June 23-28 at this years CUFF Festival. The documentary follows Pierre Cardin's unfinished career which has centred around (but is certainly not limited to!) fashion, architecture, and design. Given Cardin's monumental influence throughout many creative fields, the documentary would be interesting, even if it only cataloged Cardin's various endeavours. However, House of Cardin goes beyond — connecting the audience with Pierre Cardin's sincerity and joie de vivre — something which truly makes this documentary shine.

Reece's style has been self described as "people talking in rooms" and while that is something that happens in the Climate of the Hunter… that description does not do justice to the unsettling, hilarious, and at times deeply vulnerable experience that is Climate of the Hunter.

INTERVIEW: Director Martha Shane talks about her film, NARROWSBURG, screening June 23-28 at this years CUFF Festival. NARROWSBURG tells the story of a French film producer and a mafioso-turned-actor who attempts to turn a small American town into the “Sundance of the East.” Persuading the townspeople that they can be movie stars, the pair create a fever pitch of excitement, launching a film festival and shooting a gangster movie. As this stranger-than-fiction tale unspools, it becomes a meditation on the power of cinema, and the fine line between dreams and delusions.
