This week Dr. Kim is talking with Dr. Marina Rosenthal about high conflict relationships. Dr. Marina Rosenthal is a licensed psychologist dedicated to serving couples with high conflict, messy marriages. She uses evidence-based therapies to support partners in healing their complex relationships. She has deep training in trauma research and therapy and is particularly passionate about helping couples rebuild safety in their relationships. Beyond her private practice, Dr. Marina is a professor, wife, and mother of two young children.

Dr. Kim is talking with Lauren Sugalski Mosback, LPC, NCC, a licensed mental health therapist who specializes in child and adolescent therapy at her practice in the Philadelphia suburbs. Through her books and her counseling work, Lauren helps equip children with tools to understand and manage their emotions and develop self-esteem and resilience. She helps cultivate a strong sense of self-worth in children by helping them explore their unique strengths, values, and coping skills.
Lauren lives outside of Philadelphia, PA, with her husband, four children, and playful pup. She loves exploring the outdoors and adventuring with her family. She finds inspiration from these adventures and continually strives to learn, grow, and write.

This week Dr. Kim is talking with Pamela Briskman. Pamela Briskman is the Vice President of Education at Galileo Learning where she works to develop innovators who envision and create a better world. A graduate of Stanford University with a BA in design and a BS in product design engineering, Pamela has been working at the intersection of education and design for more than 25 years.
She served as a Teach for America corps member in Oakland, taught STEM at the American School of Antananarivo in Madagascar, and designed learning experiences for the National Science Foundation–funded programs, educational television, toys, and video games. She is also Chief Learning Officer and co-founder at Brainquake, an education technology company with patented game-based learning products that dramatically improve math proficiency. Pamela is a co-founder of Urban Montessori Charter School and Latitude High School in Oakland, CA—the schools her two daughters attend. Pamela gets up early in the morning to row with the East Bay Rowing Club, loves trying new recipes and getting to know new places and people.

Dr. Emily Edlynn (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric health psychology who works in private practice with children, teens, and adults. She has a BA in English from Smith College, a PhD in clinical psychology from Loyola University Chicago, and completed postgraduate training at Stanford and Children’s Hospital Orange County. Emily spent almost ten years working in children’s hospitals before pivoting to private practice, which allowed her to start a writing career. Emily has written her blog, The Art and Science of Mom, since 2017 and a parenting advice column for Parents.com since 2019. Emily’s writing has also appeared in the Washington Post, Scary Mommy, Good Housekeeping, Motherly, Psychology Today, and more. She recently added podcaster to her bio as a co-host for the popular Psychologists Off the Clock podcast. Her first book, Autonomy-Supportive Parenting: Reduce Parental Burnout and Raise Competent Confident Children came out last year. She also writes about modern parenting in her Substack newsletter. Emily lives with her husband, three children, and two rescue dogs in Oak Park, IL where she can see Chicago’s skyline from her attic window.
