This week Derrick and Jason wrap up our Advent series where we have been looking at the covenants that God made with humanity.  It is a beautiful picture of how God has written his love on our hearts as his children.

This week Derrick and Jason discuss the Mosaic Covenant from Exodus 19-24 and they see how God's love for humanity is displayed through his actions.  

This week Derrick and Jason discuss how we find joy in the covenant that God makes with Abraham in Genesis 15.  Joy seems to be such a fleeting thing in our world, and yet God offers it to us freely through Jesus.

This week Derrick and Jason continue their discussion of covenant theology in relationship to Advent.  This week is the week of peace, and they discuss the covenant with Noah and how God promises peace through it.

We are in the Advent season now, and this week Derrick and Jason break down the direction that we are heading for our Advent sermon series.  They discuss the importance of covenant theology and how it impacts the way we view Scripture.  They also look at the incredible hope that we find in Jesus even in the face of darkness this time of year.

This week Derrick and Jason break down Jude 17-25 and give you some handles to hold on to from that passage this week. They also wrap up the Letters series and look forward to beginning Advent next week.

This week Derrick and Jason return to recap the first half of the Book of Jude as we continue in our series, Letters.  Derrick also talks about the trip to Stearns, KY that a team from Lafayette First went on a couple of weeks ago.

This week Derrick and Jason discuss Titus 2 as we continue in our series, Letters.  Leaving a legacy of faith in Jesus is not something that happens passively.  We must intentionally work at leaving that legacy.  

They also talk with current president of the Georgia Baptist Convention, Kevin Williams, about opportunities to partner with Georgia Baptists in missions.

Missions month continues this week as Derrick and Jason interview Keith Ivey from the Georgia Baptist Mission Board about opportunities for us to be involved in mission work at all levels: locally, nationally, and globally.

They also dig in to the beginning of the new series at Lafayette First called Letters. We are called to leave a legacy of belief in Christ, but maybe not the way you might think.

We continue Missions Month with a spotlight on local missions this week. The Care Mission is a local ministry that serves the community with food services. Derrick and Jason also wrap up The Good Life series by discussing what it means to choose to live a life of service over chasing after fame.
