Missions Month continues this week with an interview with Keith Ivey from the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. He shares some incredible opportunities to get involved with what the GBMB is doing in the area of missions. Derrick and Jason also discuss the topic of being called as witnesses for God from Revelation 11:7–14.

This week Derrick and Jason have the opportunity to interview Thomas Hammond who is the Executive Director of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and PJ Dunn who is the Discipleship Consultant for North Georgia at the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. This week Derrick and Jason dig in to what it means to use the spiritual gifts that we receive from the Holy Spirit when we come to faith in Christ. It takes some work to determine what that gift is for each person, but it is through the gifts that God makes his presence known among his people.

As followers of Christ we have an identity that is rooted in Christ. This week Derrick and Jason begin discussing our new series, This Is Us, as we consider the vision statement of Lafayette First over the next few weeks.

This week Derrick and Jason look at what is found in Revelation 9. It is a dismal picture of the judgment of God being poured out on sin, but we still see the glimmers of grace and mercy found in Christ.

This week Derrick and Jason discuss the nature of God hearing the cries of his people and how he answers those cries. It is an interesting discussion about how our expectations as Christians at times do not exactly match the way God works in our lives. Join us and be a part of the conversation.
