The PDH Pod

With Liam away doing actual adult things, like getting married, Scarecrow Paul was more than gracious about filling in for him as we have a casual conversation about taking signpost uncommons from new sets and turning them into Pauper Commander decks. For this first installment, we're starting with March of the Machines!

What makes for a good "Enters the Battlefield" Pauper Commander deck, what happens when your commander doesn't say "Enters the battlefield"? All these questions will be answered; all your PDH worries will be allayed.

This week, the crew is back to 100% and we brought our PDH Guide to Disruption with us. We attempt to answer the question "what is disruption" while going through the basics of the concept and how the different colors of the MtG color pie execute their own disruption. Does Pauper Commander have enough? In PDH, is Lava Axe even disruption?? Listen close because we might need your help with this one!

In what is likely our largest show to date, we sit down with Brian De Mars, Ryan, and Jon from RIW Hobbies in Livonia, Michigan, to talk about building a local community of Pauper Commander devotees. We've been handed the inside scoop from behind the scenes of a wildly successful LGS to see exactly what their customers are looking for and how this group of longtime Magic: The Gathering players are adjusting to the crazy world of PDH.
