ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Bryan Gower was born in Berkley MI., a small city in Metro Detroit. Gowers eye grabbing canvases vividly display nostalgic images from his past as he remembers them now. Drawing inspiration from life experiences, Music, Films, Skateboarding & More. His subjects never shy from hardships and violence to celebrated events. Entangled amongst all these elements is a lyrical, yet warped vision. His works incorporate eerie landscapes w/ imaginary characters, road trips, current events and everyday life struggles in a contradictive manner. The conscious influence and in depth knowledge of one’s self is ever present. Bryan Gower has been painting from his home since 2020. Selected most recent exhibitions include: (2022) Artopia (Pontiac, MI.), (2023) The Art Experience (Pontiac, MI.) and Currently at The Irwin House Gallery (Detroit, MI.) Plus we have the Bio of Kyng spazz tappin in wit y’all from Pontiac Michigan here to show some love and give a trillion dollars worth of game strap in cause you are now live and in tune with the greatest thing you have ever seen on this side of the moon then we Clifton Jamaal Perry, a.k.a. Mr. Cliffnote is a multidisciplinary artist from the midwest who uses graphic illustration, hip-hop, and the fine arts to make sense of the world around him. Perry's mother and father kept him involved in extracurricular activities to keep his young mind occupied, often dividing his focus between arts and athletics as a way to protect him from the more tempting choices his peers were making at the time. However, growing up at the height of gang violence in the 1990s would still encourage Mr. Cliffnote to explore his curiosity around street-life, starting with a budding love for hip-hop.The 1990s are considered hip-hop's golden era for its dynamic musical offerings. Experiencing musical moments like the daisy movement and gangster rap were not lost on Mr. Cliffnote's young ears, but what he found most inspiring was the dominance of youth hip-hop act Kriss Kross. The young rap duo from Atlanta, with their brash expression and unique style, cemented Mr. Cliffnote's destiny to make his impact as an artist. Entering high school, Mr. Cliffnote realized his creative potential and his curiosity for life at once when he started a gang with his friends that would eventually morph into the rhyme collective Double-A. Mr. Cliffnote and Double-A spent their weekends performing at local venues of Detroit's underground scene like The Hip-Hop Shop and Lush Lounge. The group would earn their performance bonafides alongside artists who would go on to be legendary in their own rights like Royce 5'9, Elzhi, and Marshall "Eminem" Mathers who would go on to produce the film 8 Mile celebrating the creative era from which he emerged in the early 2000s. The film prominently featured local performers and legends alike, including Mr. Cliffnote, in extra and speaking roles. The moment would also coincide with Mr. Cliffnote's emergence as a highly sought muralist and fine artist. After years of making his living and fortifying his creative discipline as a commissioned artist often solicited by municipalities, political dignitaries, and private collectors, Mr. Cliffnote has maintained his connection to hip-hop as his preferred form of expression. In 2013, Mr. Cliffnotes released the immersive experience: Path to Notification. The experience included an album and comic book that detailed the political and social commentary that Mr. Cliffnote had been reflecting on at the moment. The follow-up to the project continues Path to Notification and features a special series of comic books paired with each single on the project both to be released as a full project and graphic novel at the end of the series. It will be released exclusively at www.mrcliffnote.com, Mr. Cliffnote's digital storefront for his art, music, comedy, and other creative wares.Your opinion matters. Plus RBuck aka Rob Buckley I came out the womb artistic, always drawing, creating, or arranging things how I see they should be, my grandmas, my mom, my cousins, all encouraged it. My dad played lots of instraments, and in any housewe've lived at, we would have a band room to perform in or a studio space to record. I loved the scene we provided, lots of partys and live music, lots of people, who were like my teachers, wether it be through their music, or otherwise,it made me naturally a people person. Going to public school, anyone who knew me will tell you I was unique. Probably best known for being a class clown, and an artistkids would constantly ask me to draw something for them, or their family, their girlfriends, or a tattoo design. No one knew me as a musician at all, but at my dads house, I'd record beats on a 8 track tape recorder, starting with the sounds froma super nintendo game called mario paint. That was the base structure for my beats, it helped me maintain a tempo, drumloop or mood. Eventually I'd get a copy of Fruity Loops 3 from my friend Lee Hoffman (who still today is a great producer and DJ) and installed iton my grandmas computer at her house, because back then, I didn't have my own computer. I would bring my friends over there and we would record on a little tiny computer microphone. From that experience alone, it developed so much of what I do and represent in music, and also where the word "SMAYDOW" was coined. (the audio wave; Wadhams, in reverse) "My Home Town" Because of my abilities to be outgoing, and artistic, I've been blessed to have worked with so many people, and being a part of thingsI'd never thought I could from having my artwork displayed and purchased in the Port Huron Museum, or performing live, I'veworked on story boards on independant films that won awards, I have been credited for many musicians cover art, also there is a great gamefor mobile devices by KELSOFT called GasolineGypsiesGame where I provided some pixel art, and sounds, Highly Recommend playing it! Right now, working with Port Huron Rapper Dr3wBaby creating content, I got a secret project I been working on with someone where I been actually painting and I'm excited about it. Producer/Rapper Mike Millsap and I have plenty of music out under the name MilliNBuck, I have one single coming out with Henry Ciul on Guitar, and features rappers RageTheKilla, and Knarf, dropping January 1st, it's an older song we recorded in 2014 but now will be available to stream digitally. Other singles include Burial Song, Grudge,& Crazy in Love. Plus we have Joya Benion. Joya Benion born in Auburn Hills but raised in Pontiac Michigan (Eastside where I reside) Mother of 4 (3 girls 1 boy) and grandmother of 3 grandson’s. I attended Pontiac Central High school! Graduated c/o 01 have some college. I’m a Certified Nurse assistant of 21 years, I’m a braider (21 years) and loctian ( 7years) Child mentor (1 1/2 years) Everything I do I have passion for especially in the nursing field because I’m very passionate, caring, loving, patient, team work and team leader! Nursing isn’t about just changing a diaper if I see a patient has the ability to regain strengths in certain areas I’m good on redirecting the situation and accomplish a goal like regaining your continence on your bladder! Showing you someone else do care for you besides your family because coming intonthe nursing field you gain is nursing team as a family. My goal for 2024 in the nursing field is to go back to school nursing and become a LPN! That’s it and that is all!I love doing hair because I can be creative and it challenges me to step out my comfort zone and be myself! My kids are my biggest influencers and clients and support team! Bc if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be doing hair! Even though I’ve been doing my own hair since the 9th grade! I had the ability to start on myself first then my kids and others. Doing hair is like my side tax free hustle bc that’s fast cash to make in between pay days and it’s beneficial when times hard in between those pay days! I’ve always did hair at home or travel to people when they couldn’t make it to me. THATS how dedicated I am! I’ve worked in a hair salon and it was ok but I’ll never work in another bc it comes with a lot! The environment, up to par equipment and rent and bills. Bc your money flow can stop or slow down during certain season and depending on how you promote yourself. So I rather take it back to the basics and continue to do hair at home where the money I make I can see it instead of putting in other folks pockets and I’m doing the hard work! Now that your know a little of my work ethics background let’s talk about me:I’m a Leo, healer, strong, loving , caring , funny, blunt, comical, big heart, hard worker, loner, chill laid back Loyal, loyal friend & independent woman! Some people can take me as an asshole and some can take me as very blunt! That I am I actually both a “ Blunt asshole” I’ve worked on my delivery and my hot headed-ness and I’m also proud of my growth! Bc my life was like a rollercoaster but now it’s at a steady coast bc I’ve removed myself from a lot of situations that don’t mean me any good! No matter the relationship (friend, family, lover) I feel whatever I give out it should be reciprocated or more! Once I feel I’m getting the short end of the stick I lay back because I’ve worked on my temper and refuse to let anyone or anything knocked me out my square! So I always tell people get to know me for yourself regardless of what you heard and always remember I’m not gonna sugar coat anything, stay my opinion and very blunt and don’t mind receiving that back! I’m one of those ones that canYour opinion matters. Send us a voice message and add your voice to the conversation. We’re the ears that listen.
