Music inspires most of my mixes, but every now and then different forms of art do, be it written or visual. This mix is inspired by the latter. A wonderful painting, called “The ocean is my happy place”, from the talented, Florida-based artist Lena Belyaeva (instagram.com/lenasart2019). You can almost say her paintings are the visual version of my uplifting mixes, so I’m honored to feature her work as cover art. It really brings me so much joy every time I scroll through her paintings, and I couldn’t think of a better title for the mix than the feeling her works imbued.
