Inspired by the city’s deep basketball roots and the personalities surrounding Hooptown USA, the pilot blends comedy, local basketball culture, and real Spokane energy into a story centered around chasing basketball dreams in one of the most basketball-obsessed cities in the country. Luke and David also talk about the challenges of independently creating the pilot, the community support behind it, and what they hope Real Rat can become moving forward.
