Jenna is a young professional living in Seattle with an incredible story. She was orphaned at birth in Taiwan and then adopted by a family in Miami, Florida. She loves to travel and to form deep connections. In this episode, Jenna and I discuss what “normal” was for her growing up in an orphanage and how that changed when she came to the U.S. We bond over questions like, “what is love? what is family?” One of my favorite highlights is when she tells the story of how her birth sister’s best friend was adopted by a family down the street!

Pierre is a former Police SGT, Modern Hypnotist, and a true embodiment of love and empowerment. In this episode, Pierre and I have a conversation about a unique core belief found within Mormonism, a teaching that helps people meet a core psychological need: The feeling of freedom! As a boy, Brent grew-up in a small town in the Bay area. Playing football on the streets and video games with his pack of friends, he was living the life of a small-town boy with lots of community. He then moved to a wealthy suburb where he became aware of what him and his family didn’t have compared to others, creating lots of questions about what life “should be?”

Melissa is a military veteran, gym owner, speaker, fighter, and a faithful servant of her creator. From dodging mortar strikes to sharing the stage with some of the world’s most renowned speakers. Melissa has navigated the experience of poverty, military warfare, traumatic relationships, and exceptional grief. She responded by “becoming a fighter,” and Melissa walks us through how she decided to step-out of her fear and embrace the fighter within! 

As a fighter, Melissa believes that her life purpose is to help people cultivate their potential, to literally work-out what they are going through as they visit her gyms and experience her speaking around the country. Having the opportunity to stare into her purpose-driven eyes, I was moved by the tremendous courage and strength that Melissa embodies. I would love to be more like her!

As a teen, James began his “blessing” of a career in the radio broadcasting industry. He got to meet many famous musicians, achieve local fame by being the “voice on the radio” and then ultimately travel all over the world in the process! He moved on from being the voice to managing studios, helping them grow and musicians grow in the process!

From a family filled Columbian upbringing, Leonardo immigrated to the United States for a sense of adventure and tremendous opportunity. Throughout his journey into and through med school, Leo has made vow to nurture his passion for traveling the world, no matter what happens in life.

Leo is a passionate neurologist who helps people navigating extremely difficult adversity, often after they suffer a stroke or other neurological disease. Leo prioritizes deep care for his patients and has created a lifestyle that empowers him to deeply empathize with their condition and then refresh and renew himself through exciting travel experiences. He is a husband, a father, a healer, and an adventurer!
