  • Andrew Ross on 9 Lives
Do you know why a cat is said to have 9 lives? It doesn’t have to mean they die and live over and over again. It has something to do with their nimbleness or flexibility. Even if they jump or fall from a high place, they can shift the position of their bodies to guarantee a safer landing.

It’s actually the same thing with us, humans. We only have one life to live, and yet it’s littered with too many challenges sometimes extremely large we feel it’s the end of us. But no, like cats we can have multiple lives—resurrect from the slump and end up the winner.

Take, for example the life of Andrew Ross.

  • Kevin Johnson on the Entrepreneur Mind
What does it take to be an entrepreneur? Do you really need to have a very unique business idea? Studies and even experts suggest that the concept comes second only to value proposition and aggressive marketing. In other words, your idea can be as similar as the others but still end up on top because you’ve positioned it very well in the market.
How about capital? The truth is there’s no business when there’s no money—you can’t avoid not to invest. Nevertheless, today you have plenty of options where to get the funds. You can even borrow the entire startup costs (though it’s not advisable). Perhaps talent? Talent can be both innate and acquired, the latter of which means you can teach yourself skills and knowledge.
What is it? The simple answer is your mind-set. A lot of brilliant people are stuck rotten in full-time jobs they despise, small enterprise owners are struggling to keep themselves afloat, and many are scared to take that huge step to financial freedom all because they don’t have the “entrepreneur mind.”

  • The Impact of Poverty on the Daddy Brain with Dr. Louann Bri
Venus versus Mars, male versus female, and men versus women—since time immemorial these two human species need to battle for everything, whether they like it or not. In the process, it leads to a variety of biases and even misconceptions about the opposite sex. There may be no such thing as pure equality between us, but there can be understanding. When you know more about the other, you begin to learn how to communicate more effectively; tolerate or, better yet, accept each other’s differences; and learn to appreciate each other’s presence and contribution in society.

Dr. Louann Brizendine has made it her mission for several years to understand how the brain works for the woman and the man, and her discovery leads to so many things including some of her advocacies.

To be able to impart a very thorough knowledge and explain deep concepts to terms that can be easily understood, Dr. Brizendine underwent a very rigorous and tedious training. She attended some of the biggest and most prestigious schools in the country such as Yale School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School, where she obtained her residency. Before these, she completed a Neurobiology degree in the University of California Berkeley. Currently she’s a faculty member of the Department of Psychiatry of the University of California-San Francisco and a practicing neuropsychiatrist.
