Happy New Year! In this episode some of the topics covered are resolutions (and why I'm not into them), goal setting, and why most of us will probably need to dig deep and look inward for 2021. Thank you to each and every one of you listeners, I appreciate all of you and am looking forward to making the podcast better as we progress. Also a huge shout out to the guests who have joined me to this point, you've greatly helped to shape and influence the show and my own personal outlook.

Merry Christmas! I imagine you have better things to do over the holidays than listen to me yammer so I tried to keep this one a bit shorter. I mention a rough point 3 years ago on Christmas Eve, several book and podcast recommendations, and what I'm thankful for this year in particular. Also a bit of a rant on something that I think is incredibly important to keep in mind this year specifically.

Hey! This week I try to expand on the idea that voluntarily seeking out discomfort is extremely beneficial and quite possibly fundamental to personal growth. Whether it be professionally or in our personal lives and relationships. I'm also hocking free stickers so if you'd like a couple then fire me off an email! I also started up an Instagram account to share daily pictures from jobsites and other things I find interesting, follow me at @plaidjacketphilosopher.

My friend CJ and I discuss airplanes, Libertarianism, differences between Canadian and American firearms laws, and many other tangents we somehow fall into. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording it!

Meet Nathan - an incredibly intelligent and interesting person who I am also proud to call my cousin. We talk about the transition from big city to small town living, struggles and growth through 2020, and thoughts on the ongoing lockdowns and changes in society.

Hey everyone, with additional lockdown measure being dropped down locally and abroad, I try to look back on different challenges and competitions I've faced and how I dealt with having an undesired outcome. I lay in a little bit more to my own recent struggles with the lockdown in the last ten minutes or so.

This week is all about identifying and pushing through our fears. I try to lay out different methods of altering our mindset when it comes to fear, realizing that we all have them, and that we can use them as powerful motivation towards our goals.

Wow, it feels like forever since I've done a monologue episode. This week I try to showcase opportunities in my past where I have been held accountable or held myself accountable for mistakes I've made. These mistakes are in all areas of be life be it work, relationships, or parenthood. We shouldn't shy away from accountability but instead make sure we carry those valuable lessons forward in life. I also touch on my thoughts about the American election (keep in mind these are just coming from a neighbor to the north).

Meet Dustin - one of the most inspiring people I've ever spoken to. He has an incredible story of battling through a very rare spinal injury that resulted in his life turning on its' head. We discuss how hurdles and tragedies can strengthen relationships, broaden your view of others, and give you a deeper appreciation for the things in life that you have.
If you want to ask Dustin any more questions or find out more, follow him at https://www.twitch.tv/dustin_n_bustin. Also please check out https://www.radsociety.ca/.

A discussion with my buddy Mark from the podcast: Hey Mark! Intertwined with various topics we discuss the ways we attempt to balance work with personal life, and our ways to de-stress. As well as a couple of book recommendations if you're into that!
