What if you’re not actually lazy, but you just struggle with the things that don’t come with a finish line? I’m an overachiever who can tackle big goals and hard things, but somehow the small, mundane tasks are the ones I keep putting off. In this episode, I’m thinking about why that might be, what procrastination can teach us about the things we value, and why achievement has a finish line, but maintenance doesn’t.

What if one of the best things you can do for your child this school year is to let them struggle a little more? After more than a decade as a teacher, I’ve seen how giving kids the space to work through challenges can build confidence, independence, and resilience. In this episode, I’m sharing a few things I wish more parents knew before the school year starts and offering a reminder that parents and teachers are on the same team, both working to help the same child become who they’re capable of becoming. Sometimes helping our kids grow means giving them the opportunity to discover that they can do hard things.

In this episode, we're talking about what it looks like to intentionally make room for friendship as an adult, from hosting people in your home and showing up for others to reaching out when life gets busy, making new friends, and knowing when to let a friendship go. We’ll also talk about why community matters so much, why we may have forgotten what it means to have a village, and how Embrace Grace has shaped the way I think about surrounding people with support.

Have you ever wondered if you’re behind in life? Maybe you thought you’d be married by now, have kids, be further along in your career, have your finances figured out, or simply feel more settled in who you are.
In this episode, I’m processing one of the areas where I’ve felt this most deeply: motherhood. At 34, I’ve always wanted to be a mom, and there are moments when I feel the weight of time and my biological clock. But I also don’t want fear to rush me into a season I want to enter intentionally.
We’ll talk about comparison, the pressure of other people’s expectations, the difference between waiting and wasting, and what it looks like to trust God when your life doesn’t look like the timeline you imagined.

When was the last time you did something just because it was fun? As we grew older, many of us stopped making time for play. We became productive, responsible, and busy, but somewhere along the way, we may have forgotten what brings us joy.
In this episode, we're talking about why play isn't just for kids. We'll explore what research says about play and the adult brain, why hobbies and creativity matter, and how making space for joy can strengthen your relationships, reduce stress, and help you reconnect with who you really are.
