  • Mercy Drops: The One with Jo

Carrying on with our Mercy Drops series in this episode, we talk to our good friend Jo. She tells us about life with her severely disabled brother, Andrew. She tells us the story of how he became very poorly and how life changed for their family afterwards. We talk about grief and how different people deal with it and how with experience we can become free to talk more openly about those that we loved who have now passed away. For the last part of the podcast we're treated to a drumming solo courtesy of Jo's oldest son!

  • The Second One in Lockdown

In this episode Cat W surprises Cat S with the episode topic. We talk about developing relationships with our kids and that being something to pursue rather than fear. We talk around the topic a bit and we compare notes on our parenting so far. We don't plan to talk about parenting that much but we think an odd episode here and there is probably ok - especially at the moment given that the only alternative is something Corona related. We finish off with a different Plumb Crumble to usual; we offer a pandemic friendly menu!

  • The First One in Lockdown

While the Cats are in Lock down we take to the airwaves to record an episode from the attic. We both hide in the highest heights of our houses to catch up about all things Corona. We have a brief catch up and move on to talk about lock down life and how that has impacted Church life. We talk about the woes that come with life online and discuss some of the pros and cons of virtual church. We finish with the usual Plumb Crumble. Please use your lock down time to rate and review us on iTunes or where ever you find your podcasts.

  • The One about Oakhill

In this episode we talk to two of our favourite Ministry Wives, as they love to be called. They have both supported their husbands through a calling to fulltime ministry in the Church of England. We dispel some common myths about what life at College is like, hear about the wonders of Oakhill allotments and find out that Christians force you to be their friend.

  • The One with Eric and Elyse

In this episode, we talk to Eric and Elyse our friends from across the pond about their new book Worthy: celebrating the value of women. We hear about some of the topics the book attempts to deal with and chat through whether God really values women. We talk about America (obviously!) insult France and Texas and we take on the dry wit of Iowa, and for once, the Brits don't win.

  • The Cat(ch) Up

In this episode the Cat's finally manage to be in the same room at the same time and we turn on the mic for our first catch up in while. We cover quite a lot of ground in this episode: gyms for male body parts, Oliver Twist, Jonah and some lovely church moments, amongst other things. We finish out with a longer Plumb Crumble than usual of a very important book and bid all of our listeners to read it.
