  • Mercy Drops: The One with Lucy

If you've ever felt burdened by shame, stuck in a cycle you can't break and as though God could never love you because of the things you've done, episode 18 - the second in our Mercy Drops series - is for you. If you're the parent of teens, engaged in Youth Work, or wonder if your wayward child will ever come back to God, please listen to Lucy's story and hear how God gave her a new heart and was looking after her even when she was far from Him. You might need your tissues at the ready as this is a no-holds-barred conversation and includes some talk of abusive relationships and miscarriage. Thankfully, at no point during the episode does anyone say that in order to see the rainbow, you've got to dance through the rain and we have a veritable plumb crumble buffet at the end.

  • Mercy Drops: The One with Helen

In this episode we start a new mini series called 'Mercy Drops'. We are going to be talking to a few people whose stories give us a little glimpse of God's mercy working for the good of all of those he loves. We start with our good friend, Helen who shares her story of how mental health has impacted her childhood and family. Helen is one of our favourite people; a powerhouse of organisation albeit in quite an unconventional way, a teacher, mathematician, minister's wife, mum of 3 and lover of lists. We invite you into the car this week to hear the 'mercy drop' of a faithful God.

  • The One with Rachel Green Miller

In this episode we go trans-Atlantic and talk to our new friend Rachel Green Miller about her excellent new book. We find out that the word Egalitarian is an insult in America, Cat W tries her best to fit in with the Americans with her limited knowledge of the NFL and Cat S manages to remind us (again) that she has been to America.
Eventually we talk through some of Rachel's writing. She manages to walk us through several hundreds of years of history in a few lines, gives us a brief history of feminism and we talk about how both of these things have in someways dictated our views of men and women in the church today.
We cannot recommend this book highly enough and Rachel has given us a copy to give away - check out the socials for more details!

  • The One About Big Brother

In this episode we talk about all things reality TV with a bit of a focus on Love Island and Big Brother. We consider how these glimpses of people's lives show us how we're all basically the same; in need and longing for relationship. Cat S thinks she's above it all, Cat W should probably have more dignity but ends with a good plumb crumble. Get us in your ears whether you're running, cooking or driving, join the conversation.

  • The One Where Cat Cried

In this episode we update on how summer is going and talk about coming to terms with changes that each year can bring. Cat W realises that playgrounds are no longer what they were and Cat S rejoices at her children being old enough to go out on their own. Cat S tells us about a recent visit from some old friends and wins the 'first to cry on the podcast' award.

  • The One About Summer

In this episode we talk about the looming and dreaded 6 weeks of summer. We talk about the expectations of 'mumming' the highs and lows of feeding growing children and most importantly keeping that museum of memories stocked up.  We plumb crumble a couple of podcasts we're listening to and finish the podcast in our usual hap-hazard way.

  • The One About Periods and Vajazzles

In this episode we talk about Cat S' recent findings in the newspaper. We talk about cars, mess, Manchester and botox for your koochi. We dangle our plumb line against cosmetic surgery (kind of) and talk about a bit about women's health. We plumb crumble some (more) good TV and ultimately conclude there "isn't much vajazzling going on in Gilead". Oh and we wonder why Tulsa has been so quiet!?

  • The One About the Enneagram

In this episode we dangle our plumbs into the murky waters of personality testing. Cat S, typically, is totally into it, while Cat W remains unconvinced until the prospect of being the same number as Severus Snape surfaces. Cat S once again fumbles the plumb crumble and we forget (again) to remind you to leave us a review on iTunes and a comment on Facebook!
