April is Autism Awareness Month + we wanted to recognize it by revisiting an episode we recorded 1 year ago today on how we parent our son with autism. As we continue on this emotional journey during the toughest seasons of our lives, we wanted to share the valuable life-lessons we learned that still apply to us today + can also help YOU in your journey. Our hope is that our story gives you a new perspective of what parents of differently-abled children experience + the blessings that come along with it
We mentioned Ellen Notbolm's book "Ten Things Every Child with Autism Wishes You Knew" (https://amzn.to/2WFQx2M), which was highly recommended by our own Autism Specialist.
If you are interested learning more about autism + what you can do to help support individuals with autism along with their families, visit the Autism Speaks website (www.autismspeaks.org) + follow @autismspeaks on all social media platforms.
