The Pod-Cast

Hi, it's Zach (and Zach pretending to be Cameron)!  You may recall a few months ago we were doing a little bonus show called WASD. It was just a place for Cameron, myself and our friends when willing could gather around to talk about games instead of the stuff or things we would talk about on the pod-cast. After a while, we knew we wanted to turn it into its own show,  but we just weren't sure on the form it should take.  Thus here we are today with the Unnamed Video Game Podcast (Box Art Not Final). It was born from a dumb joke in the episode you're about to listen to. After recording, Cameron and myself kind of liked the ring of it so we're sticking with it for now. Of course, the box art isn't final so we could end up changing the name at any time.  But for now, just sit back and enjoy this spoiler-filled discussion on God of War (2018). We do have a small discussion at the beginning about our histories with the franchise for those who still want to listen to something without being spoiled, but you better jet as soon as that's finished. We drop the biggest spoiler in the game right after the spoiler wall goes up so you've been warned.  Oh, and feel free to let us know what you would want from a video game podcast. This spoilercast is sort of a special occasion. We would like to record a few episodes going over what we're expecting from E3 in the coming weeks, but please let us know what form you would like that to take. Okay, so we're pretty sure Bryan is dead. Fortunately, however, he left in his last will and testament a requirement that Cameron host Season 4 Episode 8 of the Whales are Whales Pod-cast! Gotta love how that guy thinks ahead. Ben and Abigail join Cameron for the eulogy as they opine over haircuts, nerve-wracking job interviews, and the physical details of Abigail's apartment! It's been nearly two years since Cameron and Bryan's fateful trip to California. Apparently they enjoyed each other's company enough to try another road trip, and this time they brought friends! Abigail, Bryan, and Cameron are on a seemingly mundane road trip when something goes horribly, terribly, TERRIFYINGLY wrong. Stuck at a seemingly abandoned motel in the scraggly foothills of western Kentucky, they soon find themselves battling for their very survival, and THEIR SOULS. (aka, their eyeballs it's super scary) Edited by Bryan.

Bryan wasn't on the episode this week, so he has only a cursory knowledge of what was discussed! But he's at least fairly certain words were involved at some point, or at least distinctly word-like utterances. At a best guess, though, he would venture to say it included video games, neat things that only '90s kids know, and lots of mostly pointless screaming. Despite knowing each other for at least seven decades, Bryan and Cameron came to the startling realization they had never asked each other any questions. Having failed to properly exchange Christmas, New Year's, or even Valentine's Day gifts, the irrepressible Whale crew decided to use the birth of NASCAR as a surprisingly appropriate excuse to finally give each other their long awaited gifts.
