Wherein Harry adds a warlock to the party! Our clever politician appeals to everyone in the room EXCEPT the dude who matters and nearly gets himself and Molly both flattened. But some quick--or rather veeeerrrrrry slow--thinking by the Gatekeeper allows Ebenezer and Michael, et al., to come through a way and interrupt proceedings. Molly gets the Doom of Damocles, Morgan and Harry get pretty-and-absolutely-not-at-all-dripping-with-deeper-meaning presents from the Summer Lady, Michael gets a mic-drop moment, Charity gives a hug, and Lasciel's good name is unfairly impugned (MUST BE SUNDAY!?).

Wherein Harry learns things aren't quite what they seem when you enlist faerie help. We rescue the damsel, de-dangly an ogre, out-scripture the church mom, and decide to be accountable for our actions.

Its an incredibly dense character development chunk that doubles as the action-scene climax of the A-plot, somehow--Jim, we are not worthy! Wherein 10,000 pod downloads later, we are just getting started! Harry learns Charity Carpenter's deepest, darkest secret. Her closet isn't the only place for skeletons, as Queen Mab's front yard is littered in them too, and her housekeepers chose brimstone instead of pine fresh which certainly adds some potential complications to the upcoming confrontation at Arctis Tor! We get another chance to hang out with the chillest members of the Summer Court, but this is Charity's chunk and maybe even her novel. Harry and her patch up their relationship, Little Chicago is a success, and Thomas shows yet again that he is probably the only character in the series who understands how to interact with people--even outside of the whole incubus skillset!

Harry and crew solve the puzzle and set the stage for the big throwdown in one of the deepest parts of Faerie. Everybody cross your fingers that Mab is out, but even then its Team Murphy v powerful baddies at the source of their power on home turf. Lyssy celebrates another theory well proven, Josh is workshopping throuple ship names for Harry and the Carpenters (DresCarp? Charrychael?). Its moving day for Proven Guilty, so conveniently leave your super power on for a an extra couple seconds, light some candles--preferably purchased at Aunt B's Homemade Creations like mine was!--and settle in, cuz Proven Guilty part 6 starts......RIGHT NOW!!

Wherein we run into the calm AFTER the storm of last weeks attack. We spend this chunk trying to clean up the mess from when the freakin reaper went and had him some fun (remix)...Investigators of the supernatural and mundane varieties are on the case, though Harry has a concussion and a wounded heart slowing him down. Molly's friend Rosie got saved by our plucky heroes, but her boyfriend Ken made like a parrot and has ceased to be. Rawlins got sliced up but he's still on the case, and we bring in the big guns to help with the interrogations--sorry, I meant big DOG.

Our favorite beat cop-cum-detective-cum-beat cop-cum-detective-cum-beat cop is back! Rawlins tries out another supernatural adventure to see if it fits better than last time, and gets sliced and diced for his trouble--thoug not before a great scene showing his badassitude. We revisit the Carpenter house and everyone in it, we hear about the horror movie scene in universe, and we DON'T murder teenagers dressed as vampires, thought its a close enough thing.
