God is God and if he is God there is no place safe except his will. And that will will always be beyond any of your largest notions of what he is up to.

Relationships are hard but with the grace of God they not only survive, but they can thrive.

Philip was sent to share the good news of Jesus with an Ethiopian official. He was probably the least likely person to be able to talk to the official. When we do what God asks us to do, He does the rest.

The most important part of marriage is to reach the goal of getting your spouse and children to heaven. Everything else is much less important than that. In the story of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz we see how important the covenant (promise) is in marriage and how important it is for our relationship with God and salvation.

We should never underestimate anyone’s desperate need for love, especially our own.  In relationships we give love to get love back, but we are soon disheartened when we find that we give more than we get.  When Jesus met a lady at a well he told her about living water.  What Jesus gives us is access to a never ending source of love, himself.  He offers water and food that will satisfy us emotionally and spiritually forever.

Inevitably every married person asks themselves if they married the wrong person. The irony of that question is that it implies that someone is the right person and if they had married Mr. or Mrs. Right then everything would be perfect for them. The Bible tells about Hosea's experience in being married to a very difficult person, Gomer. But because Hosea kept the relationship focused on God, he learned more God than he ever could have otherwise.

All of us want a happy relationship but we confuse happiness and love. Putting happiness before love is the biggest mistake we make.
