Today I return with my growth experience since the last episode. The highs, the lows, and why sometimes being selfish actually is not selfish at all. I also the mention the importance of being a good listener and how self care helps us care for one other better. 

Side note: I plan to have guests on to spice this thing up so, yeah. That will be cool.

This week I talk about how we go about making our relationships stronger during this time period despite how difficult it may be and how others benefit from our intentionality. Are you going to choose to break out of your shell to create new relationships, or let your setbacks own you? 

This week I get into the reason for the extended layoff and how I coped with the effects of COVID-19 on my life, my outlook on the foreseeable future, and how we all are dependent on each other and how we can make that a good thing in the long run as we continue to battle through this new reality. 

In this episode, I talk about the general reaction to our own failure and the detrimental habits most of us have fallen into. I share a recent experience that exposes the mental game we play against ourselves and discuss how we effectively rebuild when the time comes for us to get back up and avoid making the same mistakes.

In the first episode of 2020, I discuss the interesting idea of a "New Year's resolution". Why does it take a completely new year for us to want to do something different? Do you consider time a resource? Why are people comfortable with losing time over money? What is the alarm clock theory??!

Today I discuss the relationship between confidence and insecurity. Are the two linked? If so, what factors are at play? How can we build our confidence and defeat our insecurity? I go over different characteristics of confidence and put them up against those that exhibit insecurity.

What does it really mean to persevere? Is it an act or a trait? Today I talk about the significance of perseverance and the 'dog mentality' as the semester winds down and finals creep up. Have we generalized the idea and importance of perseverance? What are the commonalities among people who are able to keep at it without hesitation? 

Today I talk about the effects of my seven-day media fast and what I learned from my experience, the impact simply exhibiting your thanks and gratefulness can have on yourself and others, and the two-headed monster that is Black Friday and Cyber Monday. 

In episode 8, I talk about the many reasons why many people are afraid to take risks. What is holding you back from chasing your dreams and your biggest desire in life? I cover the warfare that occurs within ourselves and how we can overcome the dreaded fear of failure. 

In Episode 7 I discuss what it means to surround yourself with positive energy. Specifically, I get into different aspects of life that allow and prevent us from doing so. I also go over specific types of people you want to surround yourself with in order to help flip the switch in your life.
