The Poor Man Fantasy Football League Podcast

It's dynasty rookie draft season and we're seeing lots of players' average draft position fluctuate dramatically. The second round in particular doesn't seem to have any consistency, which can present some great opportunities for those savvy managers. Mike and Andrew discuss their opposing draft philosophies, share some observations on trends they've seen, and let slip some late round darlings they're hoping to scoop up before the end of the draft. What are you seeing happen out there in drafts? 

The NFL draft was unusually weird and weirdly unusual, but full of excitement and of course potential fantasy GOLD! To help us mine for those little nuggets, we invited our first outside-the-league special guest in Corey Bittner (BittnerSteel) who comes from one of our many shared leagues to bring a new perspective on the draft. He shares his impressive fantasy resume of commissioning a series of fantasy football leagues with an interesting fantasy RPG (Role Playing Game) themes. We get to clamour over our favourite, worst, and surprising landing spots. Dissect the Day 1 trades of Marquise and AJ Brown (No relation). Move on to some overall thoughts on how teams did for both fantasy and real football. Followed up by our rookie Top Ten list with some surprising differing opinions throughout the list. Plus we keep the trend of going into overtime by taking about recent rookie draft (10 Team Super-Flex) and trading rookie picks. Get ready to hunker down for the fallout of this one.

It's the eve of the 2022 NFL Draft and we bring in our friend Josh, straight from the wilds of Maine. You may recognize him from his critically acclaimed appearances on the Year End Award show, where he comically bestowed well earned "satirical praise" for some of the shenanigans that happened through out the year. This time we have him on the hot seat to give us some hot takes on the draft and some even hotter gossip about his personal life. There were some tangents that helped us run deep into overtime...again, but it was worth it. Now grab some homebrew and let's see if get any draft picks right!

It's our illustrious co-host's turn on the hot seat this week and we're bring the fantasy football forces to "bear" on our league mate Andrew. Well, it's more like he brings up a football great that was a Bear and we learn some other juicy (i.e. BBQ) details about Andrew. It's lot's of fun, so get a snack, maybe some breakfast and a coffee and enjoy the show. 

This one's a doozy, eh! We have all three Canadian league mates on one show with our French Connection friend from Quebec in Gabriel dishing some truths about micro-brewery IPA's, football rumours, and some facts of life. The conversation was so good, we had to go into overtime, but with sudden death rules. 

Bryce jumps into the show to bring us up to date on what's happening in his life and to let us know that his last meal is a simple, yet classic combo. He  makes some great movie selections and picks some recent fantasy darlings for his all-time dream team. We even get to talk a little bit about some free agency moves and some Watson rumours!
