The Potscast

So there I was, ready to immerse myself in Celeb GPT challenges and then the week went sideways.

I’ve added a few other things just to keep things interesting and there’s a Lola update below.

I know it’s silly, but it’s these little things that bring me most pleasure these days 😁

I’ve added a video of the brilliant Michy so you know who owns the voice in the interview video - this is her on TikTok follow her, she’s brilliant 😁

I’ve added some pottery and some chocolate stuff too, cos I’m multi-faceted 🤣

Enjoy!

So here I am, back at the beach in Laborie, with some thoughts on my recent travels and by travels, I mean catching up with nearly every single person I know, with a few accidentally missed 😳

The Fruit Bowl

When I say oldest, I mean longest?

Exactly how long is currently a disputed matter…😁

We kind of met somewhere between 3 and 5 years old. We lost touch in our 20s and 30s mostly my fault cos I was gallivanting all over the globe, but we reconnected in our 40s on Facebook and in our late 40s in person.

She’s the only one who knows my complete origin story and the first phone call should I need to hide a body… not that it would ever be necessary, but I know she’d be right there with gloves and a shovel…

Here’s to friendship 💜

*Please excuse the typo in the video - I only just noticed and I’d already uploaded 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Both of these developed massive cracks overnight so had to be scrapped. They were gorgeous…😔

(The toothpick holder survived! 😁)

I left you with a whole heap of greenware and some non-ozempic pots 😃

So here’s a catch up with results and also an explanation of my sudden increase in my step count…

Bonus for ENFs - Bird Spa

This week’s title has had me giggling to myself for hours. I’m such a child…🙄

So I started with a simple project to challenge me as I get back into more regular throwing - complete a throwing challenge every week.

Last week’s challenge - big cutout fruit bowl - is still drying…

Time for a nesting set challenge.

Plus war breaks out in Saint Lucia!

Sorry…😁

So a few weeks back, I got a panicked phone call from a potter needing a kiln because hers went down mid firing…

I was shocked because…ANOTHER POTTER! And this potter is in Vieux Fort. So after the pottery saving kiln run, of course we stay in touch. This week she invited me to go over and do some throwing, of course I jumped at the chance!

Bonus for ENFs - Lola Fun

This episode is about pottery connected to my friend, Susan Chlopicki, one of my longest and dearest friends who recently left us…

I can truly say, the time since has been a mix of sadness and much laughter, because she was a very funny lady 😁

If you watch the video below, you will know exactly why all the laughter…

It was her favourite word!
