The Potscast

So yeah, I’m late, but I got into a boring Saint Lucian Sidequest yesterday, so I didn’t have time to edit…

The side quest was so boring, this sentence is the best thing about it…👀

The mugs and stuff emerged from the kiln, safe, sound and gorgeous, so you get to have a look at them, and those whatyamacallits

This episode is brought to you by ‘Exotic Fruit - there’s nothing better!’

I do have some Lola videos for the ENFs so something birdy to enjoy too

Enjoy!

So this week, not only do we have Pottery, we have baking AND a typical Saint Lucian side quest. I know some of you enjoy the Saint Lucia life pieces 😁

Things that make me sad about the island…😔

Thanks for reading The Saint Lucia Potter! This post is public so feel free to share it.

So, I thought I’d pop up to the slab to have a lovely background while I caught you up, turns out…😁

Anyhoo, just some pottery.

I’ll put a little Lola update down below.

Lola has not mellowed in the time since the last update. She still gets angry if I’m slow with the seeds 😁

Also, she’s started using me to chase other birds away, which I find a tad lazy… 😁

After a tense wait for the kiln to cool down, I opened it up to find 4 perfectly fired pieces.

The colour is beautiful and definitely easily repeatable, I’ve just cut half an hour off of the processing time of a bucket of raw clay 😁

Until next time, stay safe!

Lola being a bully, again… 😁

So, I promised you an explanation, so here it is. If you don’t have 4 mins and want a summary, I’m just out here enjoying life.

As always videos below for extra amusement, the scratchy clay bisque results and, of course, the bonus videos for Episode Note Fans (ENFs)

Until the next episode, ciao!

Oh nearly forgot…

Scratchy Clay - Out of Bisque

Bonus for ENFs - The Birds, The Birds!

First up, Lola

Then sit with me to watch the birds for a minute, the trick is to follow one bird as long as possible 😁

Did you miss me?

In this episode, I have some news regarding this podcast, because I’ve decided to enter a new era. I accidentally discover a new pottery project, while I was looking for something else and my mum has received a delivery of cacao… and we know what that means 😁

As always, bonus vids below.

Enjoy

Rico was black with a red throat, Lola was brown, now we have brand new a black and brown bird, and why is it so comfortable with zero training?

First contact? It jumped onto my iPad and wasn’t at all bothered when I picked up my camera to start recording.

Is this the progeny of Rico & Lola?

Oh, and there’s this…

We’ll gloss over last week, I’m actually not sure anyone actually listens to these anymore…

Anyhoo, I decided to make an episode anyway, mainly cos I had things to share…

So, to anyone out there,

Have a great week 😁

It’s not like me to plan ahead. But this week I had a plan, I was going to make 6 mugs…

I was also fairly rain obsessed this week so if you want something a little different, check out the bonus video below.

Have a great week

Another quick one this week, we’re getting pounded by tropical rainstorms and I get a bit unfairly savage with a bowl.

🤣

Have a great week everyone.
