This episode came out in February 2020. I had just recovered from the most debilitating bout of flu, I had ever experienced in my life, one night I had such trouble breathing I thought… well, looking back now, I’m guessing it might have been Covid, but I wasn’t to know that at the time…

Why didn’t I know that the entire world was in the process of shutting down?

Well, my pottery equipment arrived on Christmas Eve 2019 and Feb 2020 was the first time I really popped my head up to look around me, even then, I mostly just went to the beach 🤣🤣

It’s late December 2019 and I’m starting to discover things about living life in Saint Lucia, I’m also starting to come down with something flu-like… 😳

I finally start investigating the garden and start thinking about fruit and veg related things I’ve never before thought about. Sainsbury‘s is a supermarket chain (for my American listeners)

And I have some thoughts about the consequences of the banana trade.

This episode, from just before Covid hit, in January 2020, was the very beginning of my ‘professional‘ pottery adventure.

For the first time, I was on my own. 😳

Actually I was mostly on the end of a phone call to one of my UK pottery friends 😁

My pottery equipment arrived on Christmas Eve so I made my first piece on Christmas Day 2019. From that moment I basically sank into  a pottery obsession.

In effect, I completely missed the whole covid lockdown thing because I was elbows deep in clay 😁

Spoiler alert!

I eventually developed a stable purple glaze. I still don’t use test tiles 😈 I still don’t use cones 😱🤣

It‘s October 2019, I’m in the middle of my first trip to Saint Lucia and I’m trying to get some land bought before I return to the UK for the wedding.

I managed to find some land, but then I needed a lawyer.
