One would think that Paul’s excellent answers in 9:15-18 would be enough to satisfy his opponents and conclude his discussion on God’s faithfulness to his word. Well, not quite. Paul thought it necessary to include another objection as he retold Israel’s story. We see it in Romans 9:19, but what prompted his decision to present another one?
