  • 23-072 CONSTANT STATE OF NOISE

In our busy lives, we often find ourselves in a constant state of noise, with our minds and hearts always racing. But if we want to hear God's voice, we need to learn to practice stillness. As we see in 1 Kings 19:12-13, Elijah hears God's voice not in the wind, earthquake, or fire, but in the stillness.

The first question we must ask ourselves is: what does it mean to practice stillness? Practicing stillness means taking intentional time to quiet our minds and hearts, and to be fully present in the moment. It means creating a space for God to speak to us, without the distractions of our daily lives. This can be done through practices like meditation, prayer, or simply sitting in silence.

The second question we must ask ourselves is: why is it important to practice stillness? Practicing stillness is important because it allows us to connect with God in a deeper way. When we are constantly surrounded by noise and distractions, it can be difficult to hear God's voice. But when we take intentional time to practice stillness, we create a space for God to speak to us. It also allows us to be more present in our daily lives, and to approach situations with greater clarity and focus.

The third question we must ask ourselves is: how can we practice stillness in our daily lives? There are many ways to practice stillness, and it will look different for each person. Some may choose to practice meditation or mindfulness, while others may find solace in prayer or journaling. The key is to find a practice that works for you and to make it a consistent part of your daily routine.

So, what is the call to action? As followers of Christ, we are called to listen for God's voice and to follow His lead. But in order to do that, we must learn to practice stillness. I challenge you to take intentional time each day to be still and listen for God's voice. Whether it's for five minutes or an hour, create a space for God to speak to you. It may be uncomfortable at first, but as you continue to practice stillness, you will find that it becomes easier and more natural.

In conclusion…The world will tell you to be busy, but God will tell you to be still. Don't let the noise of the world drown out the voice of God. Take intentional time to practice stillness, and listen for His voice.

  • 23-071 GOD'S LOVE LETTER

This is a loving message from God to all those who listen.

    My beloved child,

I have chosen you to know me, to believe in me, and to understand that I alone am God. I know that sometimes you have felt that your greatest desire should be to behave, to fulfill the great commission, or to accomplish great spiritual feats. While these things are good, my greatest desire for you is simply to know me, believe in me, and worship me alone as God.

Your life is not as complicated as you have made it. I have called you to relate to me. I know that you call this "the greatest commandment," but I did not intend for it to be a commandment in the way that you have understood it. I am not giving you orders to love me. Love under compulsion is not love at all. I am simply telling you that loving me is your highest goal and the one purpose that will lead to your fulfillment. This is your purpose, your design, the reason I made you. Your primary responsibility in life is to look to me. If you do not do that, nothing else you do will be enough.

When you listen for my voice, you need to be aware of this. If you seek guidance, correction, wisdom, revelation about the future, insight into your problems, or anything else without understanding my highest goal for you, you will hear with the wrong ears. My voice will turn into a harsh command or a never-ending instruction manual or an impossible assignment. You will dread hearing me and hope that I remain silent. Your perception of me will become more and more skewed until you lose sight of my true nature.

But if you are thoroughly convinced of my highest purpose for your life - to know and love me - my words will take on a different sound. You will crave me every day and be satisfied in what you hear. So, my child, seek me first and all these things shall be added unto you.

    With love, God

Let’s Pray…Father, there’s freedom in choosing simply to know and love You. That takes the pressure off my spiritual agendas. May I hear everything You say through that perspective.

  • 23-070 SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING

Welcome to the Power of God’s Whisper podcast. Today, we’re diving into the topic of spiritual understanding.

From an early age, we learn how to acquire knowledge through external sources, such as our parents, teachers, and life experiences. But when it comes to matters of the Spirit, learning is a different process. It involves receiving revelation and discerning truth, rather than analyzing and deducting.

As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 2:14, “Only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.” This means that spiritual understanding is not something that can be acquired through intellectual exercises alone. It requires an openness to the leading of the Holy Spirit and a willingness to receive revelation from God.

So how do we develop this kind of spiritual understanding? It starts with prayer and a willingness to listen to God’s voice. The Holy Spirit speaks to us in ways that may not make sense to our human minds, but if we are open and receptive, we can begin to discern the truth that He reveals to us.

The Apostle Paul understood the importance of spiritual understanding. In his ministry, he didn’t rely on persuasive words of human wisdom but on the demonstration of the Spirit’s power. He knew that God’s ways are above human logic and that true understanding comes from the Spirit.

If we want to grow in spiritual understanding, we need to be willing to let go of our own understanding and trust in God’s wisdom. This means surrendering our own thoughts and ideas to Him and asking Him to reveal His truth to us.

There is no step-by-step process for developing spiritual understanding, but we can trust that if we seek the Holy Spirit, He will teach us. As we depend on Him and listen for His voice, we will begin to understand the deep mysteries of God that are revealed to us through His Spirit.

So let us pray today for the Holy Spirit to give us the spiritual understanding we need to follow God’s will for our lives. Let us trust in His wisdom and surrender our own understanding to Him, knowing that He will reveal His truth to us in His own time and in His own way.

Thank you for tuning in to the Power of God’s Whisper podcast. Join us next time as we continue to explore the deep mysteries of God and learn to hear His voice more clearly.

Let’s Pray…Lord, I want to be one who is spiritual  —to understand the things of Your Spirit, all that You choose to reveal. Please teach me how.

  • 23-069 GOD'S DEEP SECRETS

Welcome to the Power of God’s Whisper podcast. I’m your host, and today, we’re going to talk about the deep secrets of God. In 1 CORINTHIANS 2:10, we read: His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

God knows all things. He knows every secret that lies beneath the surface of our lives, and He invites us to dive into those depths with Him. His Spirit searches out everything and reveals to us the mysteries of His heart. He wants us to know the “why” and “how” of existence, to understand our purpose and destiny.

Through Christ, God has unveiled many of His secrets, but Scripture implies that there are still more to be known. An infinite God must always know more than He has revealed, and there is always more to discover about His nature and His plans. We may not know exactly how our lives will unfold or understand the reasons behind suffering, but God’s Spirit is always ready to guide us.

God’s Spirit is the guardian of deep secrets. He knows every motive of the Father’s heart and every nuance of His relationship with us. When we are immersed in His Spirit, we begin to understand things we never understood before. We have sudden ideas that we know are not our own, and we begin to walk in directions we had never planned on.

But to tap into the deep secrets of God, we must be willing to listen. We must be willing to let go of our own understanding and surrender to His wisdom. We must be willing to trust that He knows what is best for us, even when we don’t understand.

The world’s wisdom can never grasp the heart and mind of God, but He shares His counsel with those who love Him. He invites us into His private counsel, where He reveals the secrets of His heart. And as we listen, we begin to see the world through His eyes. We begin to understand the beauty and the mystery of His creation.

So today, let us open our hearts to the deep secrets of God. Let us listen to His voice and follow His lead. Let us trust that He knows what is best for us and that He will guide us every step of the way.

Let’s Pray…Holy Spirit, work Your secrets into my heart. Every day, show me more of You.

  • 23-068 DON'T ARGUE WITH GOD

Welcome back to the Power of God’s Whisper podcast. I’m your host, and today we’re going to talk about the importance of having the right attitude when we speak the truth. It’s easy to get caught up in proving a point, but sometimes we forget that the spirit behind our words is just as important as the message itself.

Let me share with you a story about a student at a Bible college who was scheduled to deliver a chapel message. She had prepared a powerful message, full of scriptural evidence, to refute false teaching. However, the night before her presentation, she couldn’t sleep. God spoke to her spirit and told her not to preach that message. He said that although her beliefs were right, she was arguing her points from the wrong spirit. She wasn’t speaking in love.

Disappointed, she gave an entirely different message about love. Later, she realized that her planned message would have been abrasive and alienating. She was grateful for God’s redirection, which spared her from an argument she might have won but lost her audience.

Similarly, the slave girl who followed Paul and Silas in Philippi spoke the truth about these men but was filled with an agitating demonic spirit. Her contentiousness, strife, pride, bitterness, and obsession with proving a point caused her to speak the right words while not representing God’s heart.

Sometimes, we focus so much on the message that we forget the spirit behind it. We must remember that just as important as what we say to others or hear from God are the emotional and spiritual filters through which we say or hear it. Our attitude and spirit can cause us to speak the right words while not representing God’s heart.

So, when we bring our perspectives to God, He shapes them to reflect not only His truth but also His heart. We need to listen to His voice and allow Him to transform our attitudes and hearts. We need to remember that the spirit behind our words is just as important as the message itself.

Thank you for listening to this episode of the Power of God’s Whisper podcast. Don’t forget to subscribe and share with your friends. Tune in next time for more insights into the power of God’s voice in our lives.

Let’s Pray…Holy Spirit, give me that kind of sensitivity to Your voice  —not only to know Your truth but to know the heart behind it. Help me to believe and discuss what is right and to saturate my words with the right spirit.

  • 23-067 WAYS IN WHICH GOD SPEAKS

Hey there warriors… Welcome to the Power of God's Whisper podcast. Today we're going to talk about the ways in which God speaks to us. You know, throughout history, God has spoken to many people, prophets, and messengers. And when we read their words, we can see that they all have their unique styles and personalities.

Ezekiel's prophecies sound like Ezekiel, Jeremiah's sound like Jeremiah, and Paul's letters sound like Paul's. They all heard God's voice and expressed it through their own individuality. It was God's voice through their voices, an intersection of the human and the divine.

But the way God speaks to us today is not much different.

We may expect Him to sound like a deep-voiced narrator with a Shakespearean accent, but that's not His style. His voice comes bubbling up through our own inner thoughts, and we may discount it as our own self-talk. Rarely do we remember that the Spirit flows from within us. He is not coming from the outside as an objective experience to be measured.

Instead, He has infiltrated our minds and hearts and transformed them, and He speaks subjectively through them. As with the prophets of old, He sounds a lot like the person through whom He is speaking.

Our rational minds may have trouble with this experience. We're apt to say that the voice sounds like us because it is us. But apart from burning bushes and open visions, this is how God normally speaks.

Our job is to discern which impulses within us are Spirit-inspired and which are not. Is that subjective? Of course. But all relationships are. We all communicate through filters of perceptions and feelings and past experiences. If we are to relate to God at all, it will have to be through a subjective conversation and intuitive perception of His Spirit.

And we will have to trust the God who lives deep within us to speak to us there.

So, if you're struggling to hear God's voice in your life, take heart. He's not distant, He's not silent. He's closer than you think, and He's always speaking.

So listen closely, discern the Spirit, and trust that the voice you're hearing is not just yours, but God's, bubbling up from deep within you. Thanks for tuning in to the Power of God's Whisper podcast.

Let’s Pray…Lord, speak to my thoughts. Let me know which ones are Yours. Help me to discern the deep impulses of my heart that come from You - and to believe them.

  • 23-066 A POWERFUL DECLARATION

Welcome to the Power of God's Whisper, where we uncover the truths of the Bible and explore the transformative power of God's Word. I'm your host, and today we're diving deep into Revelation 19:10b, in the New King James Version.

"For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

What does this mean? Well, my friends, it means that when we hear a testimony of what Jesus has done, we are hearing a prophetic message from God. It's not just a recounting of a past event, but an invitation to believe that Jesus wants to do it again in our lives.

The testimony of Jesus is a powerful declaration of His work and His desire to intervene miraculously in our lives. When we hear stories of restoration, healing, or provision, we can have faith that Jesus wants to do the same for us. It's an invitation to believe in His power, His compassion, and His love for us.

But it's not just about hearing other people's testimonies. It's also about sharing our own. When we testify to what Jesus has done in our lives, we are prophesying. We are speaking truth into the world, and declaring God's will for all to hear.

And when we embrace the testimony of Jesus as a living word, accompanied by God's power, His works come alive in a new way. His voice and His presence become self-evident.

So, my friends, I encourage you to embrace the testimony of Jesus. Share your own, and listen to others. Let it stir up your faith and express God's desire for your life. And when you do, you'll experience the transformative power of His Word like never before.

This has been the Power of God's Whisper, and I'm your host, reminding you to listen for the testimony of Jesus in your life and to share it with others. Until next time, keep listening, keep sharing, and keep believing.

Let’s Pray…Jesus, help me to recognize the Holy Spirit in testimonies of Your work. Stir up my faith to accept Your testimonies as my invitations. Let me receive Your power and love every time I hear of what You have done.

  • 23-065 FEELING A LITTLE LOST?

Welcome Warriors to the Power of God's Whisper, where we explore the mighty works of our Lord and Savior. I'm your host, and today we're going to dive deep into one of the most powerful verses in the Bible, Ephesians 1:19.

Now, if you're feeling a little lost and confused, don't worry. This verse may be short, but it packs a punch. Let me break it down for you: "I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms."

Can you feel that? Can you feel the power of those words? The incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. Let me tell you, my friends, there is nothing more powerful than the love of God. It is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated him at the right hand of God in heaven. That is some serious power.

And the best part? It's not just reserved for Jesus. It's not just for the prophets and the saints. No, my friends, it's for us. It's for you and me. All we have to do is believe. Believe in the power of God's love, and watch as it transforms your life.

You see, when we believe in the power of God, we become unstoppable. We become warriors, ready to take on whatever challenges come our way. We become ambassadors of God's love, spreading His light and His grace wherever we go. We become the living embodiment of Ephesians 1:19.

So, warriors, I urge you to believe. Believe in the power of God's love. Believe that you are capable of great things because of that power. And watch as your life is transformed before your very eyes.

Let’s Pray…God, help me to understand the incredible greatness of Your power  —not just in theory but in every way it applies to my life. I want to walk in Your strength. I want my heart to be big enough for Your purposes. Please let me hear all You want to say.

  • 23-064 GOD'S LOVE LETTER

This is a loving message from God to all those who listen.

    My beloved child,

I want to remind you of something that is very important to me. You are precious in my sight, and I love you deeply. I created you for a purpose, and I have great plans for your life.

I know that life can be difficult and that you may face many challenges and struggles. But I want you to know that you are never alone. I am always with you, watching over you, and guiding you along the path that I have set for you.

Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will never leave you or forsake you. You can trust me completely, and know that I am always working for your good.

I want you to understand just how much you mean to me. You are so valuable, so precious, that I would give anything for you. I have even sent my only son, Jesus, to die for you so that you could be reconciled to me and live forever in my presence.

So do not be discouraged, my child. Do not let the troubles of this world overwhelm you. Remember that you are loved and that I am always with you. I will be your refuge and your strength, your shelter in the storm.

I want you to take this to heart: "Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you, I give people in return for you, nations in exchange for your life." (Isaiah 43:4)

You are my precious child, and I will do whatever it takes to protect you and keep you safe. Trust in me, and know that I am always here for you.

    With all my love,

    ~God.

Let’s Pray…Lord, I know You don’t love me any less when I don’t hear Your voice, but I’m so glad for the favor You show me by speaking to me. Thank You for choosing me, for giving me ears to hear, for pursuing my heart. May I always respond in ways that delight You.
