Our Story

The “Pillow Talk” scene opens theTáin Bó Cúailnge, the Irish mythological epic. Queen Medb and King Ailill compare the wealth they brought to the marriage. This private conversation becomes a war that involves all of the greatest warriors of the time.

In Marisa's retelling of the story, which originally appeared in her book, The Sovereignty Knot, she highlights the way Queen Medb was known for instigating this great battle, but also for her powerful sexuality and her association with the Sovereignty Goddess.
