John 3:16 (NASB) “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

The Gospel is the good news of the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The power of God is in the Gospel. The moment someone hears and believes the Gospel—faith alone in Christ alone—God seals that faith for salvation. From that one moment of faith, the believer becomes one with Christ and forever shares His inheritance and His glory.
