I was recently hired by a homeowner in the Los Angeles, California area to help him with the construction repair estimating process for a fire damage claim with State Farm Insurance. He is acting as his own general contractor, which adds a unique dimension to our consulting relationship. In this capacity, I am nothing more than a consultant... there to help him plan strategy and give him my best advice. So far, so good. State Farm started out at around $144,000 and are now over $300,000 and climbing.
