Meditation on Joy
"If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." -John 15:10-11

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You have created for me a life full of triumph and tribulation. Help me to learn from each and every experience, for all things happen for a reason, and all things happen according to Your almighty plan. In all humbleness, please bless me with a state of happiness; accepting with a smile all that you send into my life. For I know that my happiness pleases you, O Lord, and brings me closer to the joys of heaven. I ask this in the name of Jesus, whose love reigns forever. Amen.

COVID-19 Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, our Divine Physician, we ask you to guard and protect us from COVId-19 and all serious illness.
For all that have died from it, have mercy; for those that are ill now, bring healing.
For those searching for a remedy, enlighten them; for medical caregivers helping the sick, strengthen and shield them.
For those working to contain the spread, grant them success; for the afraid, grant peace.
May Your precious blood be our defense and salvation.
By Your grace, may You turn the evil of disease into moments of consolation and hope.
May we always fear the contagion of sin more than any illness.
We abandon ourselves to Your infinite mercy.

Prayer for Sisters
Dear heavenly Father, I come to you today completely trusting in your goodness and mercy.
I call upon your loving Spirit to watch over my sister. I praise you for her life and her soul. Thank you for her presence in my life.
Look upon my sister with your tenderness and grace.
If she hurts – bring her healing. If she’s afraid – give her courage. If she has fallen – lift her up in forgiveness.
And most of all dear Lord, let her know she is loved. Let her know I love her. Let her know you love her. And let love heal even her deepest wounds.
Give her confidence knowing she is your child. Oh heavenly Father, embrace my sister’s heart. Bless her my Lord. Let her be healthy, free and protected in the strength of your loving arms.

Prayer for Brothers
Dear loving Father, the presence of my brother in my life is a gift to me.
Thank you for his life, his heart and his soul.
Thanks for giving me someone who looked out for me and cared for me. Even the rivalry between us was a blessing to me.
Thank you for what I learned from my brother’s life and love.
So now I ask you Lord, bless my brother with the abundance of your love and mercy.
Cover him with your grace. Let him feel your tenderness. Touch his soul.
Let him know your mercy sets his spirit free.
I present to you, oh Lord, my love for my brother. Open up the heavens to him. Bring him great peace and joy.
Thank you for my brother, dear Lord. Thank you for his life and love.

Lord, help us remember when we first met and the strong Love that grew between us.
To work that Love into practical things so nothing can divide us.

Prayer for the Unborn
Dear Father, we ask You to protect our brothers and sisters now forming their earthly vessels in their mothers womb.
Comfort their mothers and fathers.
Lord Jesus give these smallest of persons the strength to be born - to fully participate in Your creation.
May Your Holy Spirit infuse their souls with love for You and bring them safely home to Your heavenly kingdom after long, healthy and loving lives.

Prayer During Marital Suffering
O Lord, you raised marriage to the dignity of a sacrament, a sacred sign of love and unity between yourself and your spouse, the Church. You give married couples the grace they need to live together in love and harmony. Yet, that grace seems out of reach for the one I loved and married and for me. Our love has vanished, our marriage has faltered and our children have certainly been affected. According to the measure of our faith, teach each of us how to regain what has been lost, to change all that can be changed and to accept whatever cannot be changed. If we cannot be restored to a life together, keep us from deep regret, resentment and great fear. I come to you now in prayer, O Lord, asking for your divine mercy upon my children, my spouse and me. Heal us so that we may be reassured that your love and forgiveness remain with each one of us.

Grant that the problems that led to this grave situation may be the occasion for growth in both of us, greater respect for each other, mutual pardon and deeper faith. Draw from this messy pain true good for our children, my spouse and myself. Especially, I pray for our children. Hold them in the palm of your hand and teach my spouse and me how to care for them as you do. Give us strength, wisdom, healing and understanding dear Lord. Lavish them on us in great measure. Cause each one of us to respond generously to these graces.

Prayer for Children
Mary, Mother of God, and Mother of all Christians,
you presented your Divine Son in the Temple.
Now I present to you the children whom God has graciously given me.
By the grace of their Baptism, which incorporated them into Christ, you became their Mother.
I entrust them to you, to your guidance and vigilance.
Make them healthy in soul and body. Help them to become useful citizens of their own country,
but let them not forget the Kingdom of God.

Lord and Savior, You have taught us to honor our fathers and mothers, and to show love and obedience toward them.

Prayer for the Family
Heavenly Father, You have given us a model of life in the Holy Family of Nazareth.
Help us, O loving Father, to make our family another Nazareth where love, peace and joy reign.
May it be deeply contemplative, intensely eucharistic, and vibrant with joy.
Help us to stay together in joy and sorrow through family prayer.
Teach us to see Jesus in the members of our family, especially in their distressing disguise.
May the eucharistic heart of Jesus make our hearts meek and humble like His,
and help us to carry out our family duties in a holy way.
May we love one another as God loves each one of us more and more each day,
and forgive each other's faults as you forgive our sins.
Help us, O loving Father, to take whatever You give and to give whatever You take with a big smile.
