Welcome to Five Things Friday and our 4th lesson on the Kingdom of God!

Today we find Peter running away as Jesus said, Judas betraying his Lord, and the trial of Jesus.

Today we discover the reality of the battle we all face between the weakness of our flesh compared to our connection in the Spirit.

Today we learn of several details that go into the preparation of the traditional Seder Jesus would celebrate with His Apostles here in Mark 14. Today we begin the journey to Jesus’s arrest. It is two days before the Spring Feasts of God and Jesus is headed to Jerusalem for the last time! As the plot to kill him comes to full strength there is debate as to the best time to catch Him, which is soon solved by that great betrayer, Judas Iscariot. Before this we have the pleasure of meeting Simon and a young lady who honors Jesus with the best of what she possessed! This and more today with Pastor J!!!

We are in Mark 13:28-37 today and dealing with the continued conversation between Jesus and Peter, James, Andrew and John. We discover the generation referred to in verse 30 as well as the importance of being watchful unto prayer for the return of our Savior!

Today we dive into Mark 13:14-23 and discuss a period of time to come. Jesus calls us to Daniel to learn of the appointed time of desolation that is revealed in the Book of Revelation and warns His disciples (including us today) of how easy it is to be deceived by false leaders proclaiming to come in the name of God.

My Pastor always taught there are Five Things you need to know in order to better understand the Bible. These Five Things are: 1) Israel; 2) The Church; 3) The Family of God; 4) The Kingdom of God; and 5) The Kingdom of Heaven. In session 2, covering the Church, we shall discover what the church is and who is connected and makes up the body of the church.
