The Preacher’s Corner

Today we observe the conversation between the rich Ruler and Jesus found in Luke 18:18-30. We shall discover the true definition of Good and we shall see how the nature of pride can keep a person comfortable and safe up until the moment it is challenged by God! Also, we get to see the choice we must make between what we consider to be most important in, and to our lives in comparison to our service to our King! Much to be considered today through the lens of God's Word!

To begin our teachings from Jesus today we receive a parable revealing the nature of our hearts before God between the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. Next we find Jesus getting after His disciples once more for hindering children from coming near to Him, and lastly we briefly touch on the conversation between the rich young ruler and Jesus! It's a great day in the Word with Pastor J!

Today we get into Jesus' teachings concerning the manner in which we are to pray over those things which we find important to our lives in Luke 18:1-8. The key points covered in these texts are found in the first verse as Jesus teaches us to "Not loose heart" as we pray, and in the last verse where Jesus asks a very difficult question, "Will I find faith on the earth when I come back?" This and much more today with Pastor J

Today in Luke 17:20-37 Jesus reveals the reality of His Kingdom, both that which exists in our modern times and the Kingdom which is to come! There is a lot of great information provided in this session today that you don't want to miss!

Today we focus in on the issue of leprosy in Luke 17:11-19. In our discovery of how the disease of leprosy effects a person's life we also discover the connection God's Word makes with sin in our lives in comparison! We also see how 10 percent are often found doing the work in God's House where the other 90 haven't quite "seen" the work of the Lord just yet! This, and so much more today with Pastor J so come on over the the Preacher's Corner and enjoy a little time together with us.

Today we continue where we left off from Jesus' warning to "Pay attention to ourselves!" that we received yesterday. His disciples beg Jesus to "Increase their faith" and receive some very powerful teachings which we shall glean from today. First, we receive the understanding of just how powerful a little faith in our lives can be,  then we shall be reminded that we are not equal to our Lord and have much to do for His Kingdom even though we may still have to serve in this world as well for a time, and at the last to be met by the 10 lepers in the end of our time together today. Lots of great lessons for the Christian life if we are willing to receive them today with Pastor J!!!

Today in Luke 17:1-4 we receive a very important warning to pay attention to ourselves! This warning comes at Jesus' point revealed in the first verse which pronounces a proclamation of death and lamentation against the ones who would draw the children of God into sin! This and much, much more today with Pastor J, Amen.

Today's lesson comes from Luke 16:19-31 and deals with the conversation Jesus reveals between the rich man who died and went into torment and Lazarus who was carried to paradise! In this conversation Jesus reveals the realities of hell, of stewardship, of Kingdom responsibility, and of love! This and much more today with Pastor J!

Today we explore Jesus' teachings in Luke 16:14-18 concerning the relationship between the Law and the Prophets and the Kingdom of God compared to the relationship between the religious leaders and the God they were supposed to represent. This is further explained by Jesus in His teaching concerning divorce and remarriage shown in verse 18. This is also a place that I get into a great deal of trouble, so you'll want to watch/listen this through to the end!!!

Today we dig in deep to Jesus' teachings concerning the parable of the dishonest manager at Luke 16:1-13. As we touched on this yesterday at the end of our time together, today we shall start in verse 13 to answer the question as to whom we truly belong to, rather Jesus as our Lord or ourselves as the ultimate king of our lives! May God bless you richly as you consider this message today with Pastor J!!!
