In Jesus' lesson today we will understand that we should worry about the great many things we are powerless to control, or have any say over, and simply trust the Lord for all our needs. God knows, and God provides! Praise God, trust in the Lord.
Today in Luke 12:13-21 we consider the desire of the heart and what is most important in our lives through the conversation Jesus has with these 2 brothers who seem to be engaged in an argument over the family inheritance. As, at some point of time or another, most of us can relate to this issue it is very important for us to receive in our hearts what Jesus has to say. All to often, in the United States today, we have become a people more interested in our comforts and treasures than we have been concerned with God's Kingdom or the local church. Jesus has something to say about this today with Pastor J!
Today is a very necessary lesson from Jesus in the reality of being a child of God as well as a servant of the King. The concept of the actions, or lack thereof, on our part which shall directly relate to the state of our relationship with the Father and the Son when we enter into our heavenly estate. To confess Him while in this life is to be confessed by Him when we enter our heavenly life, but to deny Him!!! This and more today with Pastor J.
Today we enter Luke 12:1-7 and we discuss the understanding Jesus gave His disciples in how not to be infected with the leaven of the Pharisees, which is Hypocrisy. From there Jesus teaches us about whom we are to give more honor between God and man and the fact that before God we are worth more! This and more today with Pastor J.
In the conversation today we are looking at what Jesus has to say to those "Pharisees and Scribes, the Lawyers" as concerning keeping people from being able to come close to God, or, to be able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, and this is because they (though extremely religious) are not going to enter in themselves, and you sure can't give anyone anything you don't have to give in the first place. After this we shall receive the warning not to be like those steeped in their hypocricies in the first 3 verses of chapter 12! This and more today with Pastor J!
Today we get a glimpse at the hardcore Jesus and His dealings with the Scribes, Pharisees, and Lawyers! I truly love these interractions and Jesus' logic as He slays their hearts by His truth! Enjoy!!!
Today we begin by recapping what Jesus taught in Luke 11:29-32 concerning both Jonah and the queen of the South being capable of judging this generation because One who is greater than both the queen and Jonah is present, but no one is listening to Him or seeking Him, then we move to Jesus' teaching concerning the "Light" that certainly should be in you and shining!
Today in Luke 11:24-26 we pick up on Jesus' explanation concerning those who have initially turned to Him in faith, but are then detoured in their walk with God because of the "dry places where no rest could be found" only to then return to the "old house" Jesus delivered you from only to get back into even more wickedness than you were originally delivered from! After this we hear Jesus' explanation about those who are truly blessed, and just scrape the edge of Jonah in verses 29-32! This and so much more today with Pastor J!!!
Today in Luke 11:14-23 we will be connected to the conversation between Jesus and the "some" who would say He was casting our devils by the chief devil (Ol' Satan himself), and the "others" who would be seeking after a sign! Also we will look a short moment into verses 24-26 dealing with those who turn back from following Jesus and end up worse off than when they began! This and more today with Pastor J!
Today in Luke 11:1-13 we have the privilege of going over what is comonly called, "The Lord's Prayer." Though this is simply a template Jesus gave as instruction for His disciples many hold to this as some type of ritual or encantation to be recited! Yet, in Jesus' teachings today we shall discover the relational conversations we could have with "Our Father who art in Heaven" as we remember the reality that "His name is Holy." That we seek for "His Kingdom to come" and to long to see "His will be done" as "it is in heaven even so on earth." (which is entirely possible if the church in any given community would simply come together and unite!) This and much more to be discovered today with Pastor J!!!
