Today we complete the parable of the prodigal son(s) and come to the conclusion of which brother was actually the more prodigal! After this we shall move on to Luke 16:1-13 to scratch the surface of the rich man and his steward.

Today in Luke 15:1-7 Jesus start off with the parable of the 99 sheep to try and explain to the "Religious types" How God has come to recover those who are separated from Him! Due to their lack of understanding farm life Jesus switches to a parable He knows will speak to them concerning the 10 pieces of silver, save one which was lost in Luke 15:8-10. Even though they could understand money more than livestock they still missed the point (mainly because they chose not to understand!), so Jesus nails them with the "Prodigal Parable" that will finish our time together today.

Most people today in "American Christianity" have no idea of the "Cost" involved in being a disciple of Jesus Christ! Once redeemed, you have been brought into the family of God and your heavenly Father now has expectations of you in your manner of living and service to His Kingdom. Remember your "freedom" isn't free! The liberty you enjoy in being born again was bought and paid for through the death of God's only-begotten Son!!! Your freedom cost Jesus His life, so honor His sacrifice by obeying His teachings to tell others so He can set them free too!

Today Jesus teaches us where the best seats in the house are! In His explanation of the "High Seats" and the "Low Seats" Jesus reveals the importance of having a humble heart and being respectful of the blessings God has bestowed upon us!

Today in Luke 14:15-24 we dig into the specific details of the parable Jesus taught about the great supper. We compare this to our "Modern Christianity" and discover a great need to acknowledge changes which must take place through repentance to return to the Author and Finisher of our Faith. This and more today with Pastor J!!!

Today we finish off Luke chapter 13 with Jesus' broken heart over God's people Israel. How, though their Messiah is right there in front of them they cannot see Him, and in fact have rejected Him without realizing their folly! From this we enter a chief Pharisees' house in chapter 14 just in time for Jesus to heal another of God's sheep! So many exciting things to discover today with Pastor J!!!

Today we receive Jesus' teachings concerning what the Kingdom of God is like, then we receive understanding about the "Way" to enter this Kingdom (which is through the "straight gate"). There is much to be received and understood today so prepare your hearts for gleaning!

Today we consider what it means to be set free by Jesus, and how the world cannot stand the idea of God's power to deliver the soul from its grip!

Today we finish off Luke chapter 12 and skim the surface  of chapter 13 while we receive of the richness of God's Word through Jesus!

In Jesus' teaching today He tells His disciples (as well as us today) to always ensure our hearts are prepared to Meet God. As being the children of God, or Father certainly has expectations for His children, and will judge His children accordingly to what we have, or have not done in His dear Son's Kingdom!
