In Luke chapter 10:38-42 we look at the differences between the "Mary" and the "Martha" mindset. We discover within us the same type of mindsets and discover the positives and negatives involved in these ways of thinking! Also, we discover Jesus' explanation to Martha of what she needed to realize, and perhaps that's something we need to realize for ourselves today! This and more today with Pastor J.

After a great time of rejoicing with Jesus today in Luke 10:21-24 we make it to an "expert in the law" who tries to test Jesus about what it takes to inherit eternal life. The answer this "expert" receives is exactly what he thought, but the problem with him (as well as with us) is he simply couldn't understand the meaning of what Jesus was saying! This and much, much more today with Pastor J!

Today we venture into Luke 10 and have Jesus sending the 72 out on short-term missions journies to preach the Gospel! Just like the 12 which Jesus sent earlier, they were to carry very little with them for their journey would be short term! This, and much more to be discovered today with Pastor J!!!

Welcome back to the Preacher's Corner this week and to some excellent teachings (and hard truths) coming from Luke 9:51-62, which Jesus brings to us today concerning being His disciples and following Him in service. Also we shall receive a glimpse into our natural hearts, though we desire to serve God, sometimes our old nature can get in the way just like it did with James and John today! God bless

A very exciting episode today as we catch a glimpse of Jesus in His heavenly state and we get to meet Moses and Elijah once more (which is really exciting because they were both Old Testament saints!). This and more today with Pastor J!

Today we experience this question from Jesus in our own hearts, and we must give an account! Connected to this teaching Jesus goes on to explain the cost, and what it means to be a Christian in the service of the Messiah. He leave us clear indicators we can use to consider our own walk with God and see where we are, and where we need to change in order to be Jesus's true disciples! We are getting into the meat today so come hungry and enjoy this teaching with Pastor J!!!

The greatest statement of Luke 9:1-17 comes from Jesus telling His disciples and apostles, "You feed them!" There is much to receive today from God's Word so hang on tight as we dive in today with Pastor J!!!

Today as we finish Luke chapter 8 we will hear Jesus say a few things which carry eternal weight and impact. First, we will experience the interaction once more between Jesus and the woman with the "issue of blood", then we will receive the charge Jesus gives to Jairus to, "Not be afraid, only believe...!" This is going to be an exciting day of God's work through Jesus so make sure to hang on for the ride!!!

Today in Luke 8:22-47 we remember the same events from Mark Chapter 5 concerning the crossing of lake Gennesaret and the encounter with the tempest which caused Jesus's disciples to fear, the "Maniac of Gadara" and the transformation Jesus would bring in his life that would cause the neighborhood to fear, and the encounter with the woman with the "Issue of Blood" being healed and her fear of being discovered! Much to discover today with Pastor J, so hang on tight!
