It is with a heavy heart that I make this hiatus announcement.

In this week’s episode, my sister Lindsey and I watch the Netflix holiday film A Christmas Prince and provide live commentary.

Happy Holidays!

When junior editor Amber (Rose McIver) is finally assigned a story of her own, it means she'll have to miss Christmas in New York City with her widowed father. She's sent abroad to get the inside scoop on dashing playboy Prince Richard (Ben Lamb), who's in line to be King of Aldovia following his father's recent death.

However, a media conference at the palace is cancelled before it begins when the prince doesn't show up. Unwilling to give up and go home without a story, Amber doesn't get back on the media bus that's taking the journalists back into town. She sneaks in a side entrance of the castle and is mistaken for Princess Emily's new American tutor, who was due to arrive after the holidays. Amber goes along with it, saying her last assignment ended early. She winds up living at the palace as the tutor for Prince Richard's younger sister. While there, she tries to get as much information as possible about whether or not Richard is going to accept the throne, or whether he's planning to give it up and let his cousin Simon ascend to the throne instead

Starring Rose McIver and Ben Lamb.

This podcast is hosted and produced by Bethanie Finger. Special Guest Lindsey Myers with special appearances by Quentin Finger and Scamp Finger.

Happy Holidays!

Stacy, a type-A planner with a penchant for schedules, takes a spontaneous trip to the charming land of Belgravia at the suggestion of her sous chef and best friend, Kevin. While preparing for the Royal Christmas Baking Contest, Stacy faces an identical stranger and a strange request.

Free-spirited but royally obligated, all Duchess Margaret Delacourt really wants is one last chance to experience life as a "normal person" before she dutifully marries the Crown Prince of Belgravia. Stacy can give her that wish.

Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar.

"And, while Cinderella and her prince *did* live happily ever after, the point, gentlemen, is that they lived," (Ever After, 1998).

Join Becca and I for a special request episode where we discuss Becca's favorite Cinderella Retelling: Ever After!

Synopsis:

Andy Tennant directed this Cinderella variant. The Brothers Grimm arrive at the home of a wealthy Grande Dame (Jeanne Moreau) who speaks of the many legends surrounding the fable of the cinder girl before telling the "true" story of her ancestor.

In flashback, the story then focuses on eight-year-old Danielle, daughter of a wealthy widower, a 16th-century landowner. After returning to France with his new wife Rodmilla (Anjelica Huston) and her two daughters, he dies of a heart attack.

Ten years later, Danielle (Drew Barrymore) is now treated as a servant by the trio. Fortunately, she has an encounter with Prince Henry (Dougray Scott), who is fleeing an arranged marriage.

Later, when Danielle poses as a Lady, the Prince takes an interest in her. Inventor-artist Leonardo Da Vinci (Patrick Godfrey), accepting the French court's patronage, offers advice to Prince Henry on matters of the heart.
