The Lords of Chit-Chat planned to chat about a week in the life of George R. R. Martin- in particular a week in which his forthcoming monster of a fantasy novel, The Winds of Winter, was advertised with a release date on Amazon's website in France. The entire Martin Media Rescue Team had to work overtime... again... in order to label this release date false... again.... and still keep the readers under the impression that nearly six years (at least) is the right amount of time for a grown, professional author to take to write a book he knows the ending to.

More importantly than Martin's latest in a long series of throwing cold water on excited fans, is the comparison we are able to draw between Mr. Martin and another famous, wealthy George that is very familiar with the feeling of disappointing his fans... and we include Guns N Roses in the conversation for good measure.
