The Project Infinite Podcast

Send us a message that we can respond to at the end of every episode!

Only a podcast deals in absolutes…except this podcast! With Obi-Wan Kenobi in full swing on Disney+ and the two of us not seeing Jurassic World: Dominion, we thought what better time to do one of our famous film retrospectives than right now? AND we picked the perfect film to talk about: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It is not only the crown jewel of the Prequel Trilogy of Star Wars, but also a dang good Star Wars film in its own right. Before we dive into that, we cover the news for the week involving a re-release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a villain for Across the Spider-Verse, some Last of Us news, a Thunderbolts movie is coming, and the JOKER SEQUEL IS A MUSICAL? We also take time to address the latest Ezra Miller controversy and discuss the Black Adam trailer before taking a trip back to 2005 to talk about Revenge of the Sith. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and don’t forget to subscribe to download new episodes as they become available and don’t be afraid to share a rating!

Who would have thought that Top Gun: Maverick would become one of the hottest movies of 2022? Well, to be honest, we sort of did. This episode is all about the latest film from Tom Cruise featuring Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and a host of up and coming performers. A short new segment this week, and by short, I mean we only talk about the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer before diving (flying?) headfirst into our Top Gun: Maverick review. I’ll note when we dive into spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet and prefer not to know anything going in! What is up guys? We’re doing a something a little different this week. Unfortunately, we are mere mortals and mere mortals are susceptible to illness and Court fell ill this week before we planned to record. In replacement of that, I’ve elected to present you with our unaired pilot episode that we tested before we officially launched the podcast. The episode was filled with a little bit of news at the time up top before we sort of recapped and looked to the future of the DCEU as it stood at the time. This was recorded in late July of 2021 so the material will be dated and we might not sound like we have everything together just yet but I thought it would be fun to throw this up on the feed just to keep our regularly scheduled Wednesday drops. As always, timecodes are below if you want to jump from topic to topic. You would think with Multiverse of Madness just a few days away, we’d be going full bore into talking about it. HOWEVER, so much stuff happened over the past week especially with Cinemacon happening, the general news and we wanted to talk about the general brilliance of Oscar Isaac so we pivoted this into a Cinemacon/Moon Knight episode. After all the news, Court will guide us to all big takeaways and reveals from Cinemacon and then we will discuss episodes 1-5 of Marvel’s Moon Knight ahead of the finale later this week. As always, timecodes are below if you want to jump from topic to topic, and SPOILERS for Moon Knight if you haven’t seen it or haven’t yet caught up to Episode 5. “The bill comes due, always.” It is certainly almost time for that bill to be due for one Doctor Stephen Strange. With just a little over a week to go before Doctor Strange enters the Multiverse of Madness, we chronicle Doctor Strange’s journey in the MCU from his solo movie through Avengers: Endgame and into Spider-Man: No Way Home. We comment on the development of the character as well as the superb acting of Benedict Cumberbatch that brought the Sorcerer Supreme to life. Before that though, we have more Oppenheimer casting, a slew of Sony news revolving around their Spider-Man universe and a vide game movie delayed until next year.
