If you woke up this morning, you thought to yourself that today was going to be tough, that everything's going to go wrong, and the people are going to mistreat me. Then you probably right. The more you think that things are going to go wrong. The more things will go wrong. The more you think that life is going to turn out for you in a difficult way, the more it will continue to be difficult. i used to hate Mondays, and the reason why is because i would dread the fact that i would have to face the day and see a brand new week but not see it as a brand new week. i would see it as the same mundane week that I pleased others and chose not to please myself. I wasn't trusting the process. I wasn't trusting that all things would work out if only I allowed them to. And it wasn't even Mondays that i only hated. It was every day. on this Monday. allow yourself today to trust the process. know that everything is going to work out in your favor. permit yourself to believe that all things have a way of working things out. know that it's okay not to be okay, but recognize the fact that the more you allow yourself to open up to gratitude and to grace, you are choosing to believe that all will be okay because, as abraham hicks once said, you're not only trusting the process. you then expect the process. you're tuning into something that you do want. In life, I've learned that happiness is not an external thing. Happiness is found when you promise to see life as it is and be content with it at the moment. Not resisting it, not hiding from it; then life will begin to turn around and change for you. It is then that you will be happy. In this episode, I will talk about happiness and how gratitude plays a big role in choosing it.
Gratitude is a direct response to happiness; by allowing yourself to be grateful for the good, bad, and indifferent in your life, the easier it will be for you to find happiness within yourself. Keeping a daily gratitude journal can help. I have allowed myself to write down three to five things every day for the past eight years and have found this practice so powerful! Many people have asked about my daily practice, so I put together a 7 Day Gratitude Journal that will help you jump-start your practice.
Keep on keeping on.
Did you wake up complaining this morning? Why? Because it's Monday? Mondays, just like every other day, are a day to be thankful because you, unlike the millions of people who didn't wake up, took your first breaths and opened your eyes. That's something truly to be grateful for and to embrace. In this podcast, I talk about the power of gratitude and how gratitude will help you create the life you want.

Keep on keeping on
Martin Luther King, Jr said it best when he said if you can't fly, run if you can't run, walk if you can't walk crawl, but by all means keep moving. Never give up on your hopes, and dreams, regardless of your circumstances. Don't allow your mindset to stop you from moving forward. The world is tough and will try to break you at every chance it gets, you have to remind yourself every day that you are strong, resilient, and can have anything.
Are you living the life that you want? Are you allowing your current circumstance to stop you from moving forward from having a life of happiness and joy?
A promise is something that allows you to move forward with all of your hopes and dreams, but first, you have to make it. When you promise yourself, you create a bond that cannot be broken. Living with anxiety and depression can sometimes seem complicated, but it will become easier to realize when you set a small, actionable goal and tie a promise to it. What promise will you set for yourself today? And what small actionable goals will you tie to that promise?
Embrace each new day as it comes, and embrace every beautiful mess that you are confronted with. I am including a promises worksheet for you to write your promises and goals; you can download it here
Living with an uncontrollable circumstance can be very easy to want to give up; that is why it is so important to have Hope. I had a seizure today, and I felt drawn to share this podcast with you because Hope and gratitude are the two things that help keep me centered significantly when I am seizing. Even though I may be scared and feel like giving up, I don't because I know that Hope keeps me safe and resilient.
In life, it is very easy for those living with an uncontrollable chronic illness to want to give up, talk negatively about their life, and cause more pain and heartache than is already present. By allowing yourself permission to surrender, be grateful, and have Hope, you are allowing yourself to live a happier, more stress-free life. And when you are going through something such as a seizure, it becomes less scary because you already know how strong you are.
I have written a free guide that you can download here to help you live a happier, more grateful life while living with a chronic, uncontrollable circumstance. You can sign up for the guide here.
