I predicted the Los Angeles Chargers winning the game played against the Raiders on Monday December 14th in The Prophet's Picks Football TNF prediction show 34-31 in regulation. The Chargers did win the game but it took them doing it in overtime. It also took the Chargers scoring the winning touchdown in overtime twice. 30-27 Final/O.T. L.A.C.! The officiating last night left a lot to be improved upon, but these guys are human like me so it'll be fin. Derek Carr was injured on a roll out play, a play he extended and early results of this injury is he's done for the last 2 weeks. Justin Herbert is once again proven himself to be worth a 1st round draft pick for the Chargers. Lastly, Marcus Mariota was sited last night in relief of Carr. He played surprisingly AMAZING. Mariota went to the University of Oregon, so did Chargers rookie Q.B. HERBERT. Nice finish to the TNF stretch this season, very nice!

Entering NFL week 15 I discovered I can't make many errors in predicted winners as Mike Florio is hot on my trail. In thus show I put my predicted winners against Pro Football Talk's connoisseur Mike Florio. 10-6 in week 14 for Mr. Florio beating me 9-7) by a nose for the first time this season. Since week 10 when I started this I had a nice size gap in wins and losses, with only 4 mistakes this weekend starting tonight, Mike Florio could leave me in the dust with 2 weeks remaining on the year. I am sincerely shaking in my shoes.

The Prophet's Picks Football Podcast Instant ThrowBack game #3 revisits the week one matchup between NFC North rivals Chicago and Detroit. The Detroit Lions lead this game 23-6 going into the 4th quarter when Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and his Bears defense went bananas on the home team. Scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter to come back and win 27-23.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have the opportunity to bounce back from their current 2 game losing streak this Monday Night. The Bengals have had yet another long season to quickly forget, only 2 wins on the year, the future of the franchise at quarterback may miss all of 2021 after a serious knee injury in October of this year and not alot of talent or hope for an upward trend next year. Steelers @ Bengals should be a contest that's easily won by the Steelers. With that said, Pittsburgh did allow an under .500 club to defeat them on a Monday game in week 13, so with a division opponent in their path we're looking to see what happens on MNF.

S.F. @ DAL. was the original SNF game for week 15, but instead it was flexed out by the NFL for the 9-3 Browns @ 5-8 N.Y. Giants and only time will reveal if this was a good call by the NFL or not. As it stands the Cowboys and 49ers both out of playoff contention. Baker Mayfield was a legit 1st round draft pick for Cleveland at quarterback and the jury is still Daniel Jones deliberating for the Giants decision to draft him in the 1st round. Both teams desperate to win as both these teams lost in week 14 on their home field. We're going to find out who wants the postseason more this Sunday Night.

Well, well, well, looks like we got ourselves a lil predicament brewing with the K.C. Chiefs arriving in the south to play the New Orleans Saints for only the 12th times ever. No Drew Brees for New Orleans but Taysom Hill will do and the Saints head coach Sean Payton is a legitimate genius. But there is the guy we all know as the Big Red Machine by some, known by others as the mad scientist. This man is Andy Reid, the coach of the defending Champs. I'm certain Patrick MaHomes II is ready for this game. Saints (10-3) lost in week 14 on the road & Kansas City (12-1) won in week 14 on the road. Dolphins defensive ranking was 2nd in pts allowed. This week the Saints defense is ranked 5th in pts allowed. This isn't a predicament, this gone be a humdinger!

Jared Goff should be drooling over the opportunity to pass for 400 yards this Sunday against a New York Jets football that doesn't score any points (32nd pts scored) and a defense that allows tons of both yards and points (31st pts allowed). With that said, I'd be pretty shocked with my mouth open to see a low scoring defense win for the Rams. (9-4). The Jets are 0-13, I don't believe they believe they'll win a game this year. "Bring forth the sacrificial lamb!" The Rams will honor it by torching these woeful Jets.

Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts will get his 2nd career start this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray. Cardinals are 7-6 fighting for their 2021 tournament lives. It hasn't been easy for either of these teams this year. The Eagles are 4-8-1 & aren't going anywhere in January 2021 but home to watch the postseason on their couches. In the 122nd game who'll come out on top? Arizona at home? Or Philadelphia on the road?

49ers Head coach Kyle Shanahan is familiar with where his team is right now. The difference is covid-19 played a major part as to why his team is where it is at this moment. That's out of the 2021 tournament with a 5-8 record. Things aren't to great in Irving Texas either, home of the Dallas Cowboys who won their 4th game of 8f the season in Cincinnati in week 14. Both teams are unbelievably talented and in 2020 both teams have performed unbelievably bad. San Francisco has the advantage in this one. 1 year removed from a Super Bowl loss to not even returning to the tournament. Dallas has too many issues to even start talking about. Both teams are ready for 2021!!!

Mitchell Trubisky could be seeing his last days as the Bears starting quarterback. The number 1 issue the Chicago Bears had in 2017 is the same issue now. No quarterback to be the face of the franchise for the next 10 years. Scary to think the Bears could've had DeShaun Watson (HOU.) or Patrick MaHomes II (K.C.). Chicago will face their rivals, the Vikings for the 120th time this Sunday. Minnesota won their MNF meeting 19-13. Both clubs are 6-7 with 3 games remaining on the 2020, 2021 Sunday calendar.
